Highway 48 is cut off, many people cannot return home.

Present at National Highway 48, Lam Hoi section, Chau Hoi commune (Quy Chau) on the afternoon of September 27, reporters recorded hundreds of people standing still because they could not pass through this area due to rising water. The convoy had to stop in a long line on the side of the road. Authorities were on duty to strictly prohibit people from passing through the dangerous area.

People living here said that after heavy rain, water rose and overflowed the National Highway, at some points it was more than 1 meter deep, making it impossible to move.

Because Highway 48 was heavily flooded, the road to Que Phong district was cut off, so many people had to wait for the water to recede before they could return home. Mr. Vi Van Doai, a resident of Tri Le commune, Que Phong district, said: I have been waiting in Chau Hoi commune for more than 5 hours but have not been able to return home. If the water does not recede by tonight, I will have to find a place to spend the night here.

As of 4 p.m. on September 27, the area was still isolated, with only boats and motorboats of the authorities able to pass through to carry out their duties.
