Quang Tri has 25,441 people receiving pensions and social insurance benefits with a 15% increase from July 1, 2024.

The Government has just issued Decree No. 75/2024/ND-CP dated June 30, 2024 (Decree 75) on adjusting pensions, social insurance benefits and monthly allowances from July 1, 2024.

Accordingly, the 15% pension increase is the highest increase in recent years. Since 1995, the State has adjusted pension increases 23 times, demonstrating the special and timely attention of the Party and State to workers when they reach retirement age.

The adjustment of pensions and social insurance benefits has been calculated and considered in accordance with the contribution capacity of enterprises and employees, the balancing capacity of the state budget and social insurance fund as well as the roadmap for salary adjustment between regions, ensuring harmony and fairness between state sector salary recipients, preferential allowances for people with revolutionary contributions, social security allowances, pensioners and employees working in the enterprise sector.

In Quang Tri province, there are currently 25,441 people receiving pensions and social insurance benefits with a total monthly payment of more than 147.8 billion VND.

To ensure that pensioners, social insurance beneficiaries, and monthly beneficiaries enjoy the policies prescribed in Decree 75 as soon as possible after this Decree takes effect, Vietnam Social Security has issued a document guiding the payment of pensions, social insurance beneficiaries, and monthly beneficiaries for July 2024 at the new benefit levels starting from July 1, 2024.

Request localities to strengthen inspection and supervision of the payment process to beneficiaries, coordinate, resolve and thoroughly handle arising situations, and promptly report problems during the implementation process.
