Quang Nam pays attention to care, not letting any family miss Tet

Also attending were Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet; Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung; Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Le Tri Thanh.

Speaking at the visit and gift-giving ceremony, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh emphasized that taking care of families with meritorious services, poor households, and people in difficult circumstances during Tet is a fine moral tradition of the Vietnamese people during each Tet holiday.

On the occasion of Tet At Ty 2025, the entire political system from the central to local levels has been focusing on allocating resources to take care of the people and assigning central leaders to visit localities, give gifts, and wish them a happy new year.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh highly appreciated the Tet care work for the people of Dien Ban town as well as Quang Nam province. At the same time, he emphasized that Quang Nam is a revolutionary land with a large number of people with meritorious services, policy families, martyrs, and heroic Vietnamese mothers.

Therefore, the entire political system must focus on taking care of Tet for families with meritorious services, people with meritorious services, poor households, and workers in difficult circumstances; absolutely not allowing any person to go without Tet; every family can enjoy spring and celebrate Tet.

There is still a little time left until the traditional New Year of the nation, I hope the leaders of Quang Nam province, Dien Ban town and localities in the province will try to take good care of the people during the New Year. Deliver gifts from the Central and the province to the families of policy beneficiaries and poor households.

Comrade Nguyen Hoa Binh said that this year Quang Nam is a province with a good budget revenue and socio-economic development, so it is necessary to continue to do better in social security programs, especially the temporary housing elimination program so that people can have an increasingly prosperous and happy life.

On this occasion, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh presented 150 Tet gifts to poor and near-poor households and workers in difficult circumstances in Dien Ban town.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, comrade Nguyen Hoa Binh also presented 300 Tet gifts to people in localities in Quang Nam province.

Dien Ban town leaders said that the whole town has more than 19,820 martyrs; 3,140 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers (currently 46 mothers are still alive); 7,240 wounded soldiers; more than 3,000 revolutionary activists; more than 9,000 people who have contributed to the revolution; 61 individuals who have been awarded and posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces. The locality is paying subsidies to 8,023 people with meritorious services with a budget of more than 21 billion VND/month.

Up to now, the town has paid 15 billion VND in back pay; January and February 2025 allowances for meritorious people who are receiving monthly allowances with a total amount of more than 42 billion VND. The locality has transferred gifts from the President to 14,689 beneficiaries, with a total cost of more than 4.58 billion VND; transferred gifts from the Provincial People's Committee to 17,369 beneficiaries and 8,253 households, with a total cost of 12.7 billion VND.

* On the same morning, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh visited the Memorial House of Heroic Martyr Nguyen Van Troi, the Martyrs Cemetery of Dien Ban town; and visited the Memorial House of Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Thu.

Visiting and presenting gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Le Thi Tri (106 years old, residing in Thanh Quyt 2 block, Dien Thang Trung ward), Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, on behalf of the Party and State, thanked Le Thi Tri for her sacrifice and dedication. At the same time, he hoped that her family would pay attention and take good care of her; and requested the leaders of Dien Thang Trung ward to continue to do a good job in paying tribute to the families of policy beneficiaries and people with revolutionary contributions.
