Dinh Hoa Electricity renovates the power grid in Cho Chu town, ensuring safety and civilized urban beauty. |
Dinh Hoa Electricity is managing an area of 22 communes and towns, with an area of 520.7 km2, a population of over 100,000 people, and more than 27,000 households. The unit's mission is to produce, trade and operate the power grid in a mountainous district with many difficulties, so the management nature mainly meets the requirements of local political tasks, ensuring social security in the former ATK region.
Sharing about the difficulties in operation and investment management, Director of Dinh Hoa Electricity Ngo Xuan Huy said: Because the power grid is mostly medium voltage lines (22-35kV) running on high mountainous areas with many trees (out of a total of 267.8km of medium voltage, 90% of the lines run through mountainous areas), while the medium voltage poles are low, incidents of trees falling on the lines often occur. In fact, mountainous areas have a high density of rivers and streams, often experiencing flash floods; high lightning density, frequent incidents with equipment and the power grid...
Overcoming these difficulties, Dinh Hoa Power Company has ensured that the power grid covers residential areas. In particular, in 2022, when implementing the policy of building a new rural district, the district Power Company consulted with the Electricity industry and the locality to invest in the power grid, ensuring proactiveness and creating momentum for long-term and sustainable development. Before 2022, the power grid in Dinh Hoa was supplied with electricity only from the 110kV intermediate transformer station of Phu Luong district, so it was unstable.
After the proposal, the Electricity sector invested in and built the Dinh Hoa 110kV transformer station (energized in October 2022) and built a loop circuit connecting to the Dai Tu district medium voltage grid, so the power supply to Dinh Hoa has been flexibly operated from 3 sources (main source from Dinh Hoa 110kV station and source from Phu Luong and Dai Tu intermediate transformer stations). Since then, the electricity quality has been stable, promptly meeting the needs of socio-economic development in the entire district.

Looking back at the results of grid development investment from 2022-2025, it can be seen that Dinh Hoa's achievement in reaching the new rural target has a strong contribution from the Electricity industry. In 2022, the Electricity industry invested over 157 billion VND to build a 110kV transformer station, 16 distribution transformer stations, 35km of medium and low voltage lines; in 2023, it continued to invest over 18 billion VND to build 39 distribution transformer stations and 40km of medium and low voltage lines; in 2024, the industry invested an additional more than 10 billion VND to build 22 distribution transformer stations and 35km of medium and low voltage lines.
In response to the need to develop the industrial, handicraft and service sectors, in 2025, the industry will invest an additional 19 billion VND to build 23 distribution transformer stations and 57km of medium and low voltage lines. With stable electricity, production will develop, the number of industrial, handicraft and service enterprises in the two years 2023-2024 in the district will increase from 40 to over 130, including 80 forest product processing establishments located right in the raw material forest area. Electricity output will also increase from 70 million kWh (in 2022) to 82.4 million kWh in 2024, of which electricity serving the development of industry, handicraft, services and agriculture, fisheries... will account for 25% to nearly 35%.
To meet the demand for safe and stable electricity of enterprises and households, Dinh Hoa Electricity has built a coordination process in operation management, consulting, and timely handling of safety risks. The investment in recent times, along with closely following the needs of developing the power grid, will create new momentum and space for socio-economic development of the ATK region in the coming years.
