ASEAN Prize 2025 – An Opportunity to Honor Outstanding Contributions

On March 25, 2025, the Office of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 427/VPUBND-NGV to Departments, branches, sectors; People's Committees of districts, towns, cities and related agencies and units in the province regarding the transfer of information about the ASEAN Awards 2025.

Previously, on March 3, 2025, the ASEAN Secretariat launched the ASEAN Prize 2025 to honor organizations and individuals who have made outstanding contributions and achievements to the process of building the ASEAN Community in the past year. This is one of the most prestigious awards in the region, contributing significantly to spreading community awareness, as well as encouraging and motivating organizations and individuals in the region to actively participate and contribute to building an ASEAN community by the people and for the people. On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Vietnam joining ASEAN, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs encourages Vietnamese individuals and organizations to register to participate in the Award to affirm Vietnam's role and contribution in ASEAN; at the same time, help strengthen propaganda work and raise public awareness.

Details of the ASEAN Prize 2025 are as follows: The winning individuals and organizations will receive a souvenir trophy and a prize of 20,000 USD. The award ceremony is expected to be held on the occasion of the 47th ASEAN Summit in late 2025 in Malaysia. Candidates for the ASEAN Prize 2025 must be citizens of ASEAN member countries. In the application, candidates must clearly present their achievements and contributions in the following areas: Cooperation among member countries; Cooperation between ASEAN and the world; People-to-people exchange among member countries; Economic integration and promotion of standards; Other contributions to the process of building the ASEAN Community. Candidates must have letters of recommendation from relevant organizations and individuals. The ASEAN Prize Organizing Committee does not accept self-nominations.

The application documents and procedures include: Application form (download from the website https://asean.org/nomination-form/); documents/papers proving the contributions of the candidates; recommendation letter of the candidate. The recommendation letter with the candidate's profile should be sent to the Provincial People's Committee Office before April 9, 2025 for timely synthesis and sending to the Department of Foreign Affairs and Cultural Diplomacy. After the above time, if there is no response, the Provincial People's Committee Office will understand that there is no candidate registered.
