Quang Nam - 95 years of steady progress and aspirations to reach new heights

The 22nd Quang Nam Provincial Party Congress (2020) set the goal of making Quang Nam a fairly developed province by 2030.

95-year journey: Foundation from history

Quang Nam - a land of "geomancy and talent" is famous for its cultural traditions, history and resilient revolutionary spirit. On March 28, 1930, the Provincial Party Committee was established, leading the people to pioneer in the struggle against the French colonialists and the American imperialists, liberating Quang Nam on March 24, 1975 and contributing to the liberation of the South and national reunification.

After the day of peace, the Provincial Party Committee led the people to quickly overcome the consequences of war and rebuild their homeland. After 50 years of liberation and 28 years of re-establishment of the province (1997-2025), Quang Nam has achieved many great and important achievements: From a poor province, heavily devastated by war, Quang Nam has risen strongly, becoming a fairly developed province of the Central Coast and Central Highlands; people's lives have been constantly improved; the appearance of urban, rural and mountainous areas has completely changed compared to the early years of re-establishment of the province. Hundreds of historical and cultural relics have been preserved, promoted and enhanced in value, making Quang Nam a prominent domestic and international tourist destination.

Hoi An Ancient Town - a famous tourist destination of Quang Nam, contributes to achieving the goal of welcoming 12 million visitors by 2025.

Let's step into the era of growth

At the political conference "New Era - The Era of Rising of the Vietnamese People" on February 3, 2025, Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet emphasized: "We need to promote the strength of solidarity, dare to think, dare to do, dare to break through to bring Quang Nam to a fairly developed state by 2030".

With the available resources and new aspirations, Quang Nam is striving to integrate into the general flow of the whole country in the new era - the era of national growth, with the affirmation and appeal of Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet at the Ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Quang Nam Liberation Day and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Provincial Party Committee (March 24, 2030): "Quang Nam must resolutely accelerate, break through, and accompany the whole country. The spirit of overcoming difficulties, creativity, "Reform - Innovation" and proactiveness in international integration and trade, inherent in the blood of Quang Nam people, must continue to be promoted! The spirit of patriotism, the sacrifice of blood and bones of countless comrades and compatriots for the independence and freedom of the homeland, further urges us to be responsible for the generations of our ancestors and look towards the future of development!

During the war, Quang Nam never surrendered to the enemy, never accepted the humiliation of losing the country. Today, should Quang Nam retreat in the face of difficulties? Shouldn't we worry about falling behind? We have many advantages and potentials, but the scale and speed of economic development are not commensurate with those potential advantages. The lives of a segment of the population are still difficult. There are still many limitations, weaknesses, and even shortcomings that are barriers to development, requiring us to make greater efforts and determination in thinking and action! All for the goal of rapid and sustainable development of Quang Nam, for the increasingly prosperous and happy lives of the people of Quang Nam!"
