At the conference, voters were informed of the following contents: report on the province's socio-economic situation in 2024, directions and tasks in 2025; results of activities of the Standing Committee, committees and delegations of the Provincial People's Council in 2024, expected activities in 2025; report on the results of responding to and resolving voters' opinions and recommendations before and after the 20th session, content and agenda of the final session of 2024 of the 16th term Lao Cai Provincial People's Council.

City People's Council delegates inform voters of the results of the implementation of the City People's Council's resolution on socio-economic development tasks in 2024, directions and tasks in 2025; report on the results of handling voters' opinions and recommendations before, during and after the mid-year 2024 regular meeting of the City People's Council; content and agenda of the year-end regular meeting of the City People's Council.

Voters attending the conference expressed 17 opinions, focusing on 3 groups of content.

Specifically, regarding the work of overcoming the consequences caused by the circulation of storm No. 3, voters of Nam Cuong and Pom Han wards and Thong Nhat commune requested the province and city to soon have plans and solutions to relocate and arrange residents in landslide areas and areas at risk of landslides to soon stabilize people's lives; soon repair infrastructure works (roads, irrigation dams, etc.) damaged by floods to ensure safe and convenient production and traffic.

Regarding compensation and site clearance, voters said that the province and city need to consider and adjust the limit for separating agricultural land plots to suit the reality and create convenience for the people; determine land prices to suit the routes and road branches; adjust the density of annual and perennial crops to create consensus and ensure the rights of the people; request the province and city to direct the relevant agencies to soon issue land use right certificates for the resettlement area of Chang village, Thong Nhat commune and Kosy urban area.

Regarding investment and construction of urban infrastructure, voters of Nam Cuong, Pom Han and Thong Nhat wards requested the relevant authorities to consider and arrange land funds for the construction of traditional markets, avoiding spontaneous situations that cause loss of urban aesthetics and ensure traffic safety; consider and convert some locations into public land funds to mobilize socialization, build small parks, meet the cultural and sports needs of the people; invest and build sidewalks, drainage systems... on some roads in communes and wards in the south of the city.

In addition, voters also suggested that the province and city pay attention to party building at the grassroots level, especially the development of new party members, in order to create a source for building a team of grassroots cadres; improve English proficiency for teachers to suit the current general education program.

Depending on the actual situation, the province will have specific and flexible instructions and operations to meet the requirements of general development.
