Military Region 7 prepares 100 military-civilian Tet meals in Long An

(NLDO) - This is one of the activities within the framework of the "Spring of Soldiers" program in 2025.

On December 19, Military Region 7 coordinated with the People's Committee of Long An province to organize a conference to deploy the plan to organize the "Spring Soldiers" program in 2025. Major General Hoang Dinh Chung, Chief of Politics of Military Region 7 and Mr. Nguyen Minh Lam, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Long An province chaired the conference.

Military Region 7 and Long An Provincial People's Committee held a conference to deploy the plan to organize the program "Spring of Soldiers" in 2025.

At the conference, Colonel Nguyen Van Bac, Editor-in-Chief of Military Region 7 Newspaper, said that the "Spring Soldiers" program is an annual activity, organized by Military Region 7 in coordination with localities. The program aims to provide material care for disadvantaged families, policy beneficiaries, officers and soldiers in difficult circumstances; bringing spiritual meaning, with strong influence not only in Military Region 7 but also to border areas and islands.

Colonel Nguyen Van Bac said that 2025 is the 10th year that the "Spring of Soldiers" program has been organized. This program is a meaningful activity to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025); the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); and the 79th anniversary of the Tradition Day of Military Region 7.

The "Spring Soldier" program in 2025 will be held on January 17, 2025 in Duc Hue district, Long An province.

Vice Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Lam requested the provincial departments and localities to carefully prepare the Spring Soldiers program.

The program is expected to have a series of activities with 4 main contents, including: incense offering ceremony at the Traditional Monument of the Armed Forces of Military Region 7; inauguration of the house of gratitude and kindergarten; organization of "Zero-VND Spring Market" with a military-civilian Tet meal; art exchange program "Vam Co Dong Epic". In which, the military-civilian Tet meal is expected to have a scale of 100 trays of food (1,000 people and delegates attending).

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Minh Lam, Vice Chairman of the Long An Provincial People's Committee, said that the locality was honored and delighted to be chosen by Military Region 7 as the venue for the "Spring Soldiers" program in 2025. According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Lam, this is a meaningful and practical program. At the same time, he affirmed that Long An province will closely coordinate with Military Region 7 to successfully organize the program.

Also at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Minh Lam requested departments, branches and localities of Long An province to study and advise on the contents, and prepare carefully to organize and implement the program well.

Major General Hoang Dinh Chung, Political Commissar of Military Region 7, highly appreciated the preparation work and the initiative of Long An province and its agencies and units. The Political Commissar of Military Region 7 requested the Long An Provincial Military Command and relevant units to continue reviewing and grasping the contents being implemented, and carefully preparing all aspects so that the program can take place successfully and have profound political significance. Thereby, contributing to taking care of the material and spiritual needs of people of all ethnic groups, religions, families of policy beneficiaries, officers and soldiers of the armed forces to welcome the Spring of At Ty joyfully, safely, economically, with high combat readiness and warm military-civilian relations.
