On October 18 and 19, in Phu Quoc city (Kien Giang province), agencies and units under the Naval Region 5 Command organized a meeting with female officers and members working at the unit on the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union and Vietnamese Women's Day October 20.
At the meeting, delegates reviewed the historical tradition and profound significance of the establishment of the Vietnam Women's Union. At the same time, the conference reviewed and summarized the outstanding results achieved by female officers and members of Naval Region 5 in 2024.
In 2024, female officers and members at agencies and units of Naval Region 5 actively and effectively implemented the movement "Women in the military actively study, work creatively, complete tasks well, build happy families". In particular, the campaign "Promoting tradition, dedicating talent, worthy of Uncle Ho's soldiers - Navy soldiers" was strongly responded by women, achieving many remarkable achievements.
Notably, 100% of the staff and members have fulfilled the criteria of "No domestic violence" and maintained the model of "Raising piggy banks for savings" with the aim of helping members in difficult circumstances and poor children in the area. This model has earned tens of millions of VND, creating practical resources to support the community.

The commanders emphasized that the women of Naval Region 5 are not only steadfast soldiers on the islands, but also shining examples in the emulation movement "Good at national affairs, good at family affairs". They have made an important contribution to building strong, exemplary and representative agencies and units.
On this occasion, the leaders of the units expressed their hope that the women would continue to promote the qualities and fine traditions of Vietnamese women, unite, overcome all difficulties, excellently complete all assigned tasks, and accompany the development of Naval Region 5 in particular and the Vietnam People's Army in general.
Suzanne Lecht, an American who loves Vietnamese art and is currently the Creative Director of Art Vietnam Gallery, had a "coincidental" journey to Hanoi, where she found a new appreciation and passion for art and culture. Suzanne Lecht's story is not only a personal journey to Vietnamese art, but also a symbol of the cultural connection between the two countries. With her dedication, she has contributed to introducing Vietnamese art to the world and building deep cultural bridges. |
With their bravery and creativity, Vietnamese women are increasingly asserting their position in all fields: both as keepers of the fire in the family and actively contributing to the development of the country. They deserve the golden eight-word title "Loyal - Responsible - Talented - Heroic" awarded by the Party and the State. |
