Expressing his emotions when visiting and wishing a happy new year at the Social Protection Center 3 in Hanoi, the Deputy Prime Minister wished the elderly and children good health and a happy new year, and that the staff and workers always maintain their enthusiasm to convey good feelings and love to the children and elderly who are being cared for at the Center. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized: The Party and State always pay attention and devote many resources to social security work; mobilize the participation of organizations, unions and individuals throughout society with the goal of "leaving no one behind".

With the achieved results, the Deputy Prime Minister requested ministries, branches and localities to continue to effectively implement Resolution 42-NQ/TW on continuing to innovate and improve the quality of social policies, meeting the requirements of the cause of building and defending the Fatherland in the new period. "With the leading role of the State, through many forms of attention and investment, social protection centers have truly become a warm home for children in especially difficult circumstances and a home for the elderly without support", the Deputy Prime Minister shared, at the same time hoping that the social protection centers in Hanoi will have more adequate and better facilities. Since its establishment, Social Protection Center 3 in Hanoi has received, managed, cared for and nurtured over 1,500 lonely elderly people without support and orphans in especially difficult circumstances with no source of support. Over 500 children have grown up from the center, have stable jobs and built families.

Wishing the New Year to the officers and soldiers of the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha expressed his joy and warm feelings when visiting and encouraging "those who keep people safe and peaceful" during the New Year - an extremely heavy, important and meaningful task. Appreciating the results achieved by the force in 2023, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that in recent times, the field of fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue has received special attention from the Party and State, from policies, standards, technical regulations to operating mechanisms, management organization; gradually developing modernly, approaching advanced technologies in the world. During the traditional Tet holiday, the Deputy Prime Minister requested that the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police force pay attention to the risk of fire and explosion from burning firecrackers or votive paper, pay attention to electrical safety in production facilities, offices, etc. Together with the entire force, ministries, branches, localities, agencies, organizations, and people raise awareness of fire prevention and fighting, heighten vigilance, and control the risk of fire and explosion to welcome a happy, peaceful, and lucky Tet. Currently, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department, Hanoi City Police has over 1,800 officers and soldiers, 246 cars, 17 firefighting and rescue canoes, many pumps, and other rescue and rescue vehicles. In 2023, the Department has consulted on many important documents on fire prevention and fighting; increased propaganda and training for the masses; Developing a model of inter-family groups for public fire fighting, equipping each household with fire extinguishers, fire prevention and fighting safety models for residential areas, collectives, craft village clusters, inter-regional clusters, industrial clusters, etc. Along with maintaining training, regular regimes, and readiness for fire prevention and fighting, the Department has researched and implemented digitalization on traffic maps, water sources, vehicles, and technical boxes to promptly exploit fire prevention, fighting, and rescue services.

In the afternoon of the same day, visiting and encouraging doctors, nurses and patients at Hanoi Oncology Hospital, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha shared his appreciation for the affection and high responsibility of doctors and nurses who sacrificed themselves in the common joy of the country and their families to serve the sick; at the same time, he shared the hardships that patients and their families are going through, especially during the Tet holiday.
Appreciating the professional capacity of the Hanoi Oncology Hospital's staff, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the leaders of Hanoi city to pay attention to and direct the construction of the hospital's second facility in the direction of becoming a center for research, guidance, training, and transfer of the best treatment methods and technologies to lower-level medical facilities; and to do better in screening and prevention from the living environment.

Hanoi Oncology Hospital is a specialized oncology unit, a grade I specialized hospital of the city, receiving examination and treatment of oncological diseases (with health insurance) for patients across the country. The hospital has 615 beds, 36 departments, rooms, nearly 700 staff, including 152 doctors; has a system of modern machinery and equipment. In 2023, the bed occupancy rate will reach 164%, successfully performing more than 9,000 surgeries, mastering many new and complex techniques. Currently, the hospital is carrying out procedures to apply for investment in building a second facility.
