On the morning of February 19, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong City held a conference to announce decisions on organizational restructuring and personnel work. This is the first agency of Hai Phong City to announce decisions related to organizational restructuring and streamlining.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong City decided to change the name of the Movement Committee to the Propaganda and Social Mobilization Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong City ends the activities of the Organization - Propaganda Department; Transfers the functions and tasks of the Organization - Propaganda Department to the Office and specialized Departments of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city. Specifically, transfers the functions and tasks of advising on Organization - Emulation - Reward; Religion - Ethnicity; Foreign Affairs - Overseas Vietnamese to the Office; transfers the functions and tasks of advising on Propaganda work to the Propaganda and Social Mobilization Department.
At the conference, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong City also announced the decision to issue regulations on functions, tasks, organization, and staffing of the Office and specialized departments under the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city.
The Boards and Offices of the City's Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee are responsible for performing their functions and tasks according to the Law on the Front, the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Regulations on functions, tasks, organizational structure and staffing issued by the Standing Committee of the City's Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Dao Trong Duc, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong City affirmed: The implementation of the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus at the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong City is carried out according to the conclusion announcement No. 2557-TB/TU dated February 6, 2025 of the Standing Committee of the Hai Phong City Party Committee on the plan to arrange and streamline the apparatus of specialized agencies, advisory agencies, support agencies, and public service units under the City Party Committee. Through the arrangement, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong City has reduced from 4 to 3 focal points, helping to streamline the apparatus, enhance the responsibility of cadres and carry out the long-term task of restructuring the civil servant team.
Mr. Dao Trong Duc, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong City, suggested that after the reorganization, the activities of the committees must be better, with inheritance and promotion, innovation and no interruption of work.
