On the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2024), on July 22 and 23, the provincial delegation led by comrade Nguyen Van Thi, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, visited and offered flowers and incense to martyrs' cemeteries in Dien Bien province.

The delegation included comrade Mai Van Hai, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, and representatives of provincial departments and branches.

Next, the delegation offered flowers and incense to the heroic martyrs at the martyrs' cemeteries: Hill A1, Doc Lap, Tong Khao, Him Lam and the B142 Transport Martyrs' Cemetery. Dien Bien province currently manages 8 martyrs' cemeteries with nearly 7,000 graves.

Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Mai Van Hai offered incense to commemorate Heroic Martyr To Vinh Dien.

Of these, more than 800 martyrs' graves were identified as being from Thanh Hoa province. At Dien Bien Martyrs' Cemetery (Hill A1), there is the grave of Heroic Martyr To Vinh Dien, an outstanding son of Nong Cong district, now Trieu Son district, who heroically used his body to block artillery fire during the historic Dien Bien Phu campaign in 1954.
