34th session of the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee

Comrade Le Thi Kim Dung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council chaired the meeting.

The meeting reviewed and commented on the Report on the results of handling voters' petitions; the results of receiving and handling complaints, denunciations, petitions and reflections of citizens in May 2024.

Before and after the seventh session of the 19th Provincial People's Council, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council received 85 petitions from voters and forwarded them to the Provincial People's Committee to direct agencies and units to consider, resolve, and respond according to regulations. To date, 100% of petitions have been considered, resolved, and responded to.

Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Le Thi Thanh Tra spoke at the meeting.

In May, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council coordinated with the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Committee to receive 2 citizens/2 cases. From April 21 to May 20, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council received 12 petitions/12 cases; accumulated from the beginning of the year, 55 petitions/53 cases were received; classified, processed, and transferred to competent agencies to respond to voters according to regulations.

Delegates discussed and gave opinions on specific contents in the report of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council's direct supervision of 9 petitions of voters in communes in Yen Son and Ham Yen districts and supervision through the report of the Provincial People's Committee.

The leader of the Provincial People's Council's Ethnic Committee presented a report on the monitoring results.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Le Thi Kim Dung requested the Provincial People's Committee to direct functional branches and authorities at all levels to focus on handling resolutely, thoroughly, and promptly in conjunction with the tasks of the management level and branch, especially long-standing cases and matters.

He suggested continuing to select appropriate content, improving the quality of the People's Council's supervisions, ensuring scientific, correct, accurate, focused, and key points, detecting and resolving problems well, contributing to improving the effectiveness of the People's Council's operations.

Also at the meeting, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council reviewed and commented on the following contents: Report on survey results to serve the explanation session at the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council; Report on monitoring the recruitment, use and management of civil servants in public service units in the education sector in the province; Report on monitoring results on the organization of school meals... and a number of other important contents.
