Traffic diversion on Hanoi roads to serve the State funeral of the General Secretary

On the morning of July 24, the Hanoi Traffic Police Department announced that the unit has just had a plan to divert traffic to serve the State funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

Specifically, on July 25-26, Hanoi City Police will regulate traffic and organize directions for vehicles as follows:

Routes completely prohibited for vehicles:

From 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on July 25 and from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on July 26, all vehicles (except vehicles with security badges and vehicles serving the State Funeral) are prohibited from traveling on the following routes: Tang Bat Ho, Pham Dinh Ho (from Lo Duc to Tang Bat Ho), Nguyen Cong Tru (from Lo Duc to Tran Thanh Tong), Yec-Xanh, Tran Thanh Tong, Nguyen Huy Tu, Le Quy Don (from Nguyen Cao to Yec-Xanh), Nguyen Cao (from Le Quy Don to Nguyen Huy Tu), Hang Chuoi (from Han Thuyen to Nguyen Cong Tru) and Tran Khanh Du Street (from Tran Hung Dao to Le Quy Don).

From 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on July 26, vehicles are prohibited from traveling on Ho Tung Mau route (from Le Duc Tho to Nguyen Co Thach).

There will be 11 routes that will be closed to all traffic.

Routes temporarily banned and restricted for vehicles include:

From 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on July 25 and from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on July 26, temporarily banning cargo vehicles with a cargo weight of 500 kg or more, passenger vehicles with 29 seats or more (except buses, garbage collection vehicles, incident response vehicles, vehicles with security badges, vehicles serving the National Funeral) and restricting private cars and motorbikes from operating on some routes: Ly Thuong Kiet, Tran Hung Dao, Hai Ba Trung, Le Thanh Tong, Lo Duc, Nguyen Cong Tru (section from Lo Duc to Pho Hue), Tran Khanh Du, Nguyen Khoi Dike, Dike 401, Ngo Thi Nham, Le Thanh Tong.

From 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on July 26, temporarily banning cargo vehicles with a cargo weight of 500 kg or more, passenger vehicles with 29 seats or more (except buses, garbage collection vehicles, incident response vehicles, vehicles with security badges, and vehicles serving the National Funeral).

Restrictions on private cars and motorbikes and a complete ban on all vehicles under the orders of the authorities on the following routes: Tran Thanh Tong, Le Thanh Tong, Trang Tien, Hang Khay, Trang Thi, Dien Bien Phu (from Cua Nam to Tran Phu), Tran Phu, Son Tay (from Tran Phu to Kim Ma), Kim Ma, Dao Tan (from Kim Ma to Lieu Giai), Lieu Giai (from Dao Tan to Kim Ma), Nguyen Chi Thanh, Tran Duy Hung, Thang Long Boulevard (from Pham Hung to Le Quang Dao), Le Quang Dao, Le Duc Tho, Ho Tung Mau (from Tran Vy to Nguyen Co Thach).

From 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on July 26, restricting the operation of cargo vehicles with a cargo weight of 500 kg or more, passenger vehicles with 29 seats or more (except buses, garbage collection vehicles, incident response vehicles, vehicles with security badges, vehicles serving the National Funeral) on a number of routes: Ho Tung Mau (section from Nguyen Co Thach to Pham Hung), Xuan Thuy, Cau Giay (section from Tran Thai Tong to Tran Dang Ninh), Tran Dang Ninh (section from Cau Giay to Nguyen Khanh Toan), Nguyen Khanh Toan, Dao Tan, Kim Ma, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Le Duan (section from Nguyen Thai Hoc to Nguyen Thuong Hien), Nguyen Thuong Hien, Yet Kieu (section from Nguyen Thuong Hien to Thien Quang), Thien Quang.

During the above time, Hanoi City Police organize directions for vehicles under temporary ban and restriction as follows:

Vehicles from the Eastern and Southeastern provinces (Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Hai Phong, Hai Duong...) to the Southern provinces: take Thanh Tri - Phap Van bridge - go to the Southern provinces (Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam...) and vice versa.

Vehicles from the Eastern and Southeastern provinces (Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Hai Phong, Hai Duong...) to the Northern provinces (Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen...): take National Highway 5 - Thanh Tri Bridge - Phu Dong Bridge - National Highway 3 to go to the Northern provinces and vice versa.

Vehicles from the southern provinces (Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam...) to the northern provinces (Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen...) follow the route Phap Van - Ngoc Hoi - Phan Trong Tue - Phung Hung - Xa La - Van Phu - Le Trong Tan - Provincial Road 70 - Nhon - National Highway 32 - Vinh Thinh Bridge (or Trung Ha Bridge) - to the northern provinces (Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen...) and vice versa.

From 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on July 26, vehicles from the western provinces to the City Center follow National Highway 32 to Provincial Road 70 or Thang Long Avenue - Tran Duy Hung to the City Center; vehicles from the City Center to the western provinces to Xuan Thuy take Pham Hung - Nguyen Hoang - Ham Nghi - Nguyen Co Thach - Tran Huu Duc - Trinh Van Bo - Provincial Road 70 - National Highway 32 or from Pham Hung - Thang Long Avenue - National Highway 21A to the western provinces.

Traffic participants are requested to adjust their routes and limit going onto Ring Road III (section through Pham Hung - Tran Duy Hung intersection), Ho Tung Mau, Xuan Thuy, Cau Giay, Tran Dang Ninh, Nguyen Khanh Toan streets to the city center.

For other routes and vehicles, Hanoi Traffic Police Department requires compliance with regulations on vehicle operations in Hanoi city.

To ensure security and order for the National Funeral, the Hanoi Traffic Police Department requires all traffic participants to voluntarily and strictly comply with road traffic laws; when encountering priority vehicles signaling priority on duty, they must promptly change direction to the nearest level crossings or intersections according to the instructions of the authorities to give way to the priority convoy.
