Mr. Tran Hong Thai was elected Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee.

Ms. Pham Thi Phuc, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, was elected to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Tran Hong Thai, Deputy Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

On the morning of August 23, the People's Council of Lam Dong province, term X, held the 17th session to carry out personnel work under its authority.

The delegates voted to elect the positions of Chairman, Vice Chairman of the People's Council, and Chairman of the People's Committee of Lam Dong province. Of which, the positions of Chairman of the People's Council and Chairman of the People's Committee of the province from January 2024 to present have not been held by anyone.

As a result, Ms. Pham Thi Phuc, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, was elected to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council with 53/54 votes.

Ms. Pham Thi Phuc, born in 1977, is from Binh Duong commune, Binh Son district, Quang Ngai province. She has a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Law; has a high level of political theory.

Ms. Pham Thi Phuc has held the positions of Head of the Provincial Youth Union Organizing Committee; President of the Vietnam Youth Union of Lam Dong province; Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Lam Ha district; President of the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation; Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee.

Mr. Tran Hong Thai, Deputy Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, was elected Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee with 53/54 votes.

Mr. Tran Hong Thai was born in 1974 in Thai Nguyen province, hometown in Kim Song commune, Can Loc district, Ha Tinh province, residing in Tay Ho district, Hanoi. He has a PhD in Earth Science and Mathematics, the title of Professor in 2019; senior political theory.

From August 20, 2024, he was assigned by the Central Secretariat to join the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term. Previously, he was a member of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology.

Mr. Da Cat Vinh, member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association, was elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council with 54/54 votes.

Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Pham Thi Phuc expressed that this is both an honor and a great responsibility for her. She will make more efforts, together with the Standing Committee of the People's Council, the People's Council Committees, and People's Council delegates to perform well the assigned duties and tasks; contribute with the Party Committee, government and people of Lam Dong province to overcome difficulties and challenges, successfully implement the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term, and build a province with comprehensive and sustainable development.

Mr. Tran Hong Thai said that he is deeply aware that this is an honor for him personally, but also a task and responsibility that the Party and the people trust and entrust. He will learn and try to approach the new task, inheriting the achievements of socio-economic development in recent years. He vows to use all his ability, intelligence, enthusiasm and experience to join hands with the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial Party Committee to join hands in building for the development of the province...

At the meeting, the People's Council delegates elected Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Bao Loc city to be the Head of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee; dismissed Mr. Nguyen Khac Binh from the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and Ms. Duong Thi Nga from the position of Head of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee to take on other duties.

Speaking at the closing session, Chairwoman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Council Pham Thi Phuc emphasized: At this session, the Provincial People's Council unanimously passed a Resolution on confirming the election results of the positions of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, term X, 2021-2026; Resolution on dismissal of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Legal Committee of the Provincial People's Council according to authority.

The Provincial People's Council requested the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council to promptly complete the procedures, submit to the National Assembly Standing Committee for approval and dismissal of the leadership positions of the Provincial People's Council, and submit to the Prime Minister for approval of the position of Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, term X, 2021-2026, for those who have just been elected and dismissed by the Provincial People's Council in accordance with the provisions of law./.
