To express our deep respect and gratitude to Chairman Doan Quoc Viet, BIM Group will hold a solemn funeral from today, November 10, at the National Funeral Home, No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong, Hanoi.
BIM Group informed that Mr. Doan Quoc Viet, founder of the Group, passed away on November 7, 2024, at the age of 70.
Mr. Doan Quoc Viet, born in 1955 in Hanoi, in a family with a rich tradition. He graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, then worked at the Institute of Electrical Engineering Science - Ministry of Electricity. Here he researched the application of renewable energy. In 1986, he was sent by the State to do research at Warsaw University of Technology, Poland.
In Poland, in 1989, he started his business in the import-export sector. Then he founded BIM Co. Ltd in 1990 in the fields of trade, hotels and restaurants. He returned to Vietnam and founded BIM Group in 1994, with the passion of "doing something for the homeland."

This is clearly demonstrated through BIM Group's investment projects in Quang Ninh, Hanoi, Ninh Thuan, Kien Giang and Vientiane (Laos), contributing to changing the local face, creating sustainable livelihoods, improving people's lives and protecting the environment.
Mr. Doan Quoc Viet's legacy is not only large-scale real estate projects, aquaculture farms, vast salt fields or modern renewable energy projects, but also the values that he has built and strongly inspired the next generation and his associates.
Not only is he an excellent leader, Mr. Viet is also a shining example of compassion, always caring about the lives of his employees. He focuses on improving the welfare, income and life of employees, and at the same time implementing health care and education programs for employees and their children. BIM Group is also known for many social responsibility activities, especially caring about the lives of local people in the destinations where BIM Group invests.
