'Sold out' many tourist flights for April 30 - May 1

(PLVN) - The booking rate from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to tourist destinations has skyrocketed, many flights are fully booked before the April 30 - May 1 holidays.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has just announced information on the booking situation and ticket prices on domestic flights during the April 30 - May 1 holiday. Accordingly, from April 29 to May 4, 2025, the booking rate on tourist flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to other localities reached over 50% in the first days of the holiday. Notably, many flights on April 30 recorded booking rates of up to 85% - 103%.

Specifically, the routes with high booking rates on April 30 include: Hanoi - Hue (89%), Hanoi - Tuy Hoa (94%), Hanoi - Chu Lai (95%), Hanoi - Dong Hoi (103%), Ho Chi Minh City - Phu Quoc (87%), Ho Chi Minh City - Con Dao (92.7%), Ho Chi Minh City - Tuy Hoa (100%)...

At the end of the holiday (from May 3 to May 4), the number of passengers flying from localities back to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi continued to increase sharply. Some routes had very high booking rates such as: Nha Trang - Ho Chi Minh City (98%), Tuy Hoa - Ho Chi Minh City (97%), Phu Quoc - Hanoi (100%), Tuy Hoa - Hanoi (99%), Dong Hoi - Hanoi (103%)...

For the main routes such as Ho Chi Minh City - Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City - Hanoi, Hanoi - Da Nang, the occupancy rate is still at an average level, from 30% to 60%. Particularly, the Hanoi - Da Nang route and vice versa has reached over 70% and continues to increase.
