Vinh Long opens Southern Traditional Cake Festival and Trade Promotion Fair

The fair attracted nearly 300 units with about 450 booths, serving folk cuisine , baking performances, displaying regional specialties including typical rural industrial products, OCOP products, consumer goods, handicrafts, garments, foodstuffs, etc.

In his opening speech, Vice Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Liet said: "Up to now, Vinh Long province has recognized 230 OCOP products with 133 entities. Of which, 2 products meet 5-star standards, 79 products meet 4-star standards, and 149 products meet 3-star standards."

The province currently has 183 typical rural industrial products, including 6 national products, 32 regional products, and 145 provincial products that have been recognized in the past. These products have shown that their quality and brand are increasingly standing firm in the market, thereby contributing to increasing the value of the local key products.

Coming to the Fair, visitors have the opportunity to experience culinary culture, especially traditional cakes of the region, contributing to preserving and promoting the value of Vietnamese culinary culture; at the same time, promoting and advertising the land, people, cultural identity, and tourism potential of Vinh Long to a large number of visitors inside and outside the province.

The fair takes place from April 15-21, 2025 on Vo Van Kiet Street, Ward 9, Vinh Long City, Vinh Long Province.
