Luxury train to run on Hanoi-Hai Phong route

A representative of the Railway Transport Joint Stock Company said that the luxury train named "Hoa Phuong Do" is expected to be launched on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2025). Currently, the railway is renovating and upgrading 20 carriages to put into operation this train.

The Red Flamboyant Train

The exterior of the carriage is designed with the main red color of the red phoenix flower, the symbol of Hai Phong city. With the identifying image: red phoenix flower petals, 3 waves symbolizing 3 naval battles to repel invaders on the Bach Dang river, Tan Vu - Lach Huyen sea bridge..., people and tourists will easily recognize this as the train taking passengers to Hai Phong - the city of red phoenix flowers, the port city.

The train is designed in Indochine style, combining modern lines and traditional Asian colors, aiming for elegance and luxury. The train includes 2 VIP cars with luxurious interiors, free wifi, bar...

The Railway Transport Company also said that along with upgrading the train, the railway is actively working and coordinating with businesses and travel agencies in Hai Phong city to deploy tours and tourist routes in the coming time. Accommodation establishments, restaurants, and hotels in the city will also implement discount programs and issue vouchers for passengers on the Hoa Phuong Do train.

Expected to attract 50,000 train passengers

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong, on the occasion of the opening of the Hoa Phuong Do train, the Department will organize the "Hai Phong Food Festival" in 2025 at Hai Phong station from May 9 to May 14 with 40 food stalls, Hai Phong delicacies, local specialties and tourist gifts.

With these special activities, Hai Phong is expected to welcome about 50,000 residents and tourists via railway, creating momentum for the breakthrough growth of the city's railway tourism in 2025.

To ensure the effective operation of the Hoa Phuong Do train, Hai Phong will actively complete the dossier for recognition of tourist attractions at Hai Phong station, one of the oldest railway stations in the country. At the same time, coordinate with the railway to study and open a railway tourist route connecting Hai Phong station to Hai Phong Port to diversify the inner-city tourism experience for visitors.
