The journey of spreading love through letters from the capital to the highlands of the Libreria Project ended with the "Moon Dance" event that took place at the Yen Binh District Ethnic Boarding Secondary School, Yen Bai Province.

Hanoi students' volunteer project brings books and essential skills to students in mountainous areas

The event provided students with essential skills for their development such as adolescent crisis skills, time management skills, personal strength development skills and perspective taking skills.

Libreria Project is a community project founded in 2020 by a group of high school students in Hanoi with the mission of spreading and improving reading culture and narrowing the educational gap. The project is implemented with main activities including a series of activities to spread reading culture, a fundraising fair combined with book workshops and soft skills training sessions for students.

The volunteer trip combined with teaching for students in the highlands received enthusiastic support from teachers.

The program not only contributes to spreading reading culture to the community but also conveys the profound meaning of words and creates a useful learning space, where young people can explore the world of knowledge together and nurture their passion for reading.

Ms. Bui Thi Kim Thoa, Principal of Yen Binh District Ethnic Boarding Secondary School, Yen Bai Province, shared that the "Moon Dance" event that just took place was not only an extracurricular activity, but also a bridge to bring knowledge, sharing and love closer to students in the highlands.

Donated books, skill-teaching classes, interactive and connecting games all bring great value in helping children expand their worldview, inspire their confidence and nurture their future dreams.

Nguyen Dieu Linh (grade 11 Literature, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted), Head of the Libreria Project Organizing Committee, expressed that the project members always believe that each book is not simply words but also a door opening up new horizons of knowledge, nurturing imagination and dreams.

Project to nurture love of books for Yen Bai students

Through teaching activities and books brought to the event, the project hopes to equip children with necessary skills, nurture a love of books and help them confidently walk on their journey to adulthood.

Understanding the importance of education and reading culture in schools, Libreria Project hopes to inspire and encourage reading habits in children.
