NTO - Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to listen to progress report on the implementation of Phan Rang City Sub-project

On October 12, Comrade Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to listen to a progress report on the implementation of the Sustainable Environment Project for Coastal Cities - Phan Rang - Thap Cham City Sub-project. Attending were leaders of relevant departments, branches and localities.

The coastal cities sustainable environment project - Phan Rang - Thap Cham City sub-project is invested by the Board of Capacity Building and Implementation of ODA projects in the water sector; implemented since June 2016, expected to be completed on June 30, 2024 with a total capital of 97.9 million USD (equivalent to 2,253 billion VND), of which ODA capital is 69.5 million USD (1,599 billion VND) and counterpart capital is 28.4 million USD (653.5 billion VND). The project is divided into 2 implementation phases (phase 30% of total investment and phase 70% of total investment), with 13 construction and installation packages. Up to now, 1,421.12 billion VND has been disbursed, reaching 63%. Of which: ODA capital disbursed 840.15 billion VND, reaching 53%; Counterpart capital of VND 580.96 billion, reaching 89%. Regarding construction and site clearance, 4 packages of phase 30% have been completed and 9 packages of phase 70 are being implemented. Of which, 3/4 packages have been handed over to the management and use units (Phan Rang - Thap Cham City People's Committee and the Provincial Irrigation Works Exploitation Company Limited) and 1 package PR-1.2-Southeast Canal has been completed on August 5, 2023, currently waiting for the Ministry of Construction to accept the completion of the project...

Concluding the meeting, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches, investors, Phan Rang - Thap Cham City and related units to coordinate to accelerate the agreed plans. In particular, the Department of Construction was assigned to coordinate with the Department of Finance to advise on funding for the implementation of drainage connection work at the headquarters of agencies and units under the management of the Provincial People's Committee. Thap Cham coordinates with functional units to guide and support to ensure traffic safety on roads under construction; strengthens propaganda and mobilizes businesses and households to accompany and support construction and drainage connection work. At the same time, directs the City Land Fund Development Center to urgently develop and complete a livelihood recovery program to develop a support plan for households as well as submit for approval the cost of infrastructure relocation to pay owners in a timely manner to ensure the relocation progress.
