According to the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism, in 2024, Ninh Binh province's tourism will continue to achieve many positive results, with the whole province estimated to welcome 8.7 million tourists, an increase of 30% compared to 2023, an increase of 14% compared to 2019 (the highest year before the COVID-19 pandemic), exceeding the plan by 8.75%.
Of which, Ninh Binh welcomed 1.5 million international visitors, an increase of 221% compared to 2023, an increase of 63.9% compared to 2019, exceeding the assigned plan by 50%. The number of visitors to accommodation establishments is estimated at over 2,028.4 thousand, an increase of 45.33%; the number of days of guest stay is estimated at nearly 2,340 thousand guest days, an increase of 28.27%.
Ninh Binh becomes one of the top 10 destinations in Vietnam
Revenue from tourism reached over VND 9,100 billion, up 40.15% compared to 2023, up 148% compared to 2019 (the highest year before the COVID-19 pandemic), exceeding the plan by 13.75%. Accommodation activities are estimated at over VND 862.1 billion, up 25.31%; restaurant activities are estimated at nearly VND 4,568 billion, up 38.61%; transportation activities are estimated at nearly VND 1,130 billion, up 29.74%; sightseeing tickets are estimated at over VND 588 billion, up 31.41%; sales of goods and souvenirs are estimated at over VND 942 billion, more than 1.7 times higher; other services have estimated revenue of over VND 1,83.3 billion, nearly 1.6 times higher.
The image of Ninh Binh tourism brand is widely promoted both domestically and internationally. Ninh Binh has become one of the top 10 destinations in Vietnam and has been recognized with many prestigious awards from international organizations and websites, notably: Top 10 most attractive experiences in 2024: Top 10 friendliest destinations in the world; Forbes international magazine ranked Ninh Binh 4th in "Top 10 wonders of the world for people who don't like crowds"; Trang An scenic complex was voted by Kotler Award as "the most influential destination in the world".

In particular, the tourism sector has proactively coordinated with all levels and sectors to effectively implement the Central and local Resolutions on tourism development: Resolution No. 08-NQ/TW of the Politburo on developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector; Resolution 07 on developing Ninh Binh tourism in the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2045; Ninh Binh Tourism Development Project 2021-2030, with a vision to 2045; Resolution No. 02 of the Provincial Party Committee on preserving and promoting the value of Trang An heritage; Resolution No. 105/2023/NQ-HDND supporting the development of Ninh Binh tourism in the period 2023-2030. Implementing Resolution 105, the Provincial People's Committee decided to support 63 organizations and individuals, with a budget of more than 620 million VND.
