The products being sold are standardized by the factory into three main types, including: flower spraying racks, pellet spraying racks and flashing pellet spraying racks, for people to easily choose from.

Each type has a price ranging from 420,000-450,000 VND/rack. Compared to previous years, the quantity of imported goods is greater and the price of the product remains unchanged, meeting the safety requirements when used.

The flashing pellet spraying rig has beautiful and even colors and is being chosen by many customers.

“At present, people are not shopping heavily. From around December 20 (lunar calendar) onwards, the number of customers will start to increase significantly,” said Mr. Duy.

Mr. Hoang Van Lam, a customer who bought fireworks, shared: "The Ministry of National Defense's fireworks are increasingly improved to be more beautiful. The price is reasonable and safe, so I always trust to buy them for use on holidays and New Year's. The other day, on New Year's Day, I just bought 3 sets to experience."

According to the store owner, this year, Factory Z121 has invested in, added equipment and researched and produced many new types of fireworks.

The factory also increased production capacity and brought products to market early, so retail stores quickly imported and put them on shelves, ready to serve customer needs.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Anh, a customer who happened to be in a group buying fireworks online, shared: “I confess that when I saw the videos, they were very eye-catching, but I did not dare to buy them because I did not know whether these fireworks were licensed or not. The sellers were all strangers, so I could not verify the exact information.”

Fireworks prices on the "online market" range from 400,000 - 900,000 VND/product, 50,000 - 100,000 VND/product higher than similar products of Z121.

According to regulations, organizations and individuals selling fireworks of Factory Z121 on social networks without permission from competent State agencies are not in accordance with the provisions of the law.

Licensed business establishments must comply with safety regulations. Organizations and individuals who illegally sell fireworks and explosives will be subject to administrative penalties or criminal prosecution depending on the nature and severity of the violation.

Authorities recommend that people only buy fireworks at licensed points of sale and not buy fireworks of unknown origin.

Illegal use of fireworks can result in an administrative fine of 1-2 million VND according to the provisions of Decree 167/2013/ND-CP of the Government.

The illegal production, storage, and transportation of fireworks can be fined from 5 to 40 million VND depending on the severity of the violation. People are advised not to buy or use fireworks of unknown origin out of curiosity.

According to the Market Management Department, recently, the illegal trade of fireworks in Dak Nong has been on the rise, especially as the Lunar New Year approaches.

Although the law has strict regulations on the management and use of fireworks, many people still ignore the danger and find ways to transport and trade explosive fireworks to make illegal profits.

Illegal fireworks trade is often conducted in the form of private transactions, via social networks or transported from the border. In some cases, fireworks are even disguised in regular cargo containers to evade authorities.

The consequences of using fireworks of unknown origin are very serious, causing risks of fire, injury and disorder in the area.

To prevent this situation, market management forces and police are increasing patrols, controlling and strictly handling violations. At the same time, propaganda activities are also being stepped up to raise people’s awareness of the dangers of illegal fireworks.

"However, this situation requires the cooperation of the whole society to ensure a safe and healthy Tet holiday," said the leader of the Market Management Department.

In the context of the fireworks market becoming more and more vibrant at the end of the year, people need to make wise choices, buying only genuine products to ensure safety and help their families enjoy the New Year.

According to Decree 137/2020/ND-CP, people are only allowed to buy fireworks at businesses licensed by the Ministry of Public Security. Currently, Chemical Company 21 (under the Ministry of National Defense) is the entity licensed to produce and trade in civil fireworks. People are not allowed to manufacture, store, transport, or use firecrackers, explosive fireworks, or firecracker products of unknown origin.
