Phu Tho Newspaper's authors won the national journalism award "For the cause of developing Culture, Sports and Tourism"

On the evening of August 28, at the Hanoi Opera House, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the second national press award ceremony "For the cause of developing Culture, Sports and Tourism".

Authors/groups of authors won the First Prize of the National Press Award "For the cause of developing culture, sports and tourism".

Attending the award ceremony were comrades: Le Thanh Long, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister; Nguyen Van Hung, member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association; Pham Tat Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Committee; Le Hai Binh, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Magazine; Nguyen Hong Vinh, former Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, former Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, former President of the Vietnam Journalists Association... along with many comrades leading ministries, departments, branches, unions, central and local agencies, press agencies, award-winning authors and author groups.

The Phu Tho Newspaper's author team received the Encouragement Prize of the second national press award "For the cause of developing Culture, Sports and Tourism".

The entries for the contest are published and broadcast in various forms: print, electronic, radio, television, and press photos, from July 1, 2023 to June 15, 2024. Since the launch, the Organizing Committee has received a total of 920 entries, of which 894 are valid, and 117 excellent entries have been selected for the Final Round.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 5 First Prizes, 15 Second Prizes, 25 Third Prizes and 51 Encouragement Prizes to authors and groups of authors, and also awarded 3 collective prizes to outstanding press agencies with many winning works. In particular, the work "Change your thinking, change your way of doing" (3-part series) by the group of authors Thanh Tra, Thuy Trang, Thu Huong - Phu Tho Newspaper was honored to receive the Encouragement Prize, electronic newspaper category.

The second National Press Award “For the Development of Culture, Sports and Tourism” is an award to recognize and honor the outstanding contributions of collectives and individuals of the press team to the development of culture, sports and tourism. Thereby, introducing the results and achievements of culture, sports and tourism work, at the same time, discovering typical advanced examples in the culture, sports and tourism sector; encouraging and motivating cadres in the whole sector to join hands and continue to contribute more to the development of culture, sports and tourism.
