In recent days, Ba Vang Pagoda has been actively preparing for the Buddha's Birthday PL.2567 - DL.2023, scheduled to take place on April 2-3, Quy Mao year (May 20-21, 2023). This is a special event held annually, contributing to preserving and promoting the fine traditions of the Vietnamese people, helping everyone access the Dharma to save suffering.

The festival also contributes to promoting and increasing the number of tourists to Quang Ninh, linking the development of spiritual tourism with eco-tourism, stimulating tourism in the locality and neighboring regions.
Through the meaningful activities taking place, the Organizing Committee also hopes to promote the image of Quang Ninh people as open, friendly and hospitable to domestic and international friends.
This year, the Buddha's Birthday celebration at Ba Vang Pagoda was held on a large scale, with many meaningful activities such as art performances to celebrate Buddha's birthday (May 20); a series of special events including a dance performance to celebrate Buddha's birthday, a flower car parade to celebrate Buddha's birthday (May 21)...
In particular, on this occasion of Buddha's birthday, Ba Vang Pagoda also inaugurated the world's largest mountain lecture hall. This project was built to meet the material needs and study of Buddhists.
The lecture hall has a 2-storey structure, with a total area of 6,000m2. With a capacity of 15,000 people, this is the main place for Buddhists to study and organize major ceremonies of the temple.
Before that, the organizer, Ba Vang Pagoda, had urgently prepared everything from the script, decoration, and celebration to ensure the program was on schedule. The pagoda also gathered teams of volunteers to support the coordination and maintenance of security and order in the pagoda area during the event.
Especially in the context of the complicated epidemic situation, the organizing unit also has many measures to coordinate with the authorities to prevent and ensure the activities take place safely.
The Buddha's Birthday Ceremony at Ba Vang Pagoda was attended by the Venerable Sangha of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, monks and nuns from within the country and abroad, and the presence of a large number of people and Buddhists from within and outside the country.
“This is not only an opportunity for everyone to pray for peace and luck for themselves and their families, but also a time to learn about Buddhism and immerse themselves in the joyful and bustling atmosphere celebrating the birth of the Buddha,” said a representative of the Organizing Committee.
