Moving demon models from the 'Six Paths Cave' at Ba Vang Pagoda

On February 10, speaking with Thanh Nien reporter, a leader of Uong Bi City People's Committee (Quang Ninh) said that the locality had inspected and requested Ba Vang Pagoda to move. Demonic models and inappropriate pictures in the "Six Paths Cave".

Accordingly, through inspection by Uong Bi City authorities, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, Ba Vang Pagoda will put into operation "Luc Dao cave".

This is an artificial cave that can accommodate about 100 people. Inside the "Six Paths Cave" is divided into many areas named as the heavens, the gods, the humans, the animals, the hungry ghosts, and the hells.

Notably, in the "hell realm", there are demonic figures on both sides. Specifically, some are mannequins; there are also demonic figures played by people, accompanied by paintings, artificial stalactites, colored light effects...

Responding to Thanh Nien reporters, a leader of Uong Bi City said that the "Luc Dao cave" model was renovated from the walkway in the Ba Vang pagoda grounds. After inspection, it was found that some demon models were not suitable, so the local government discussed with the pagoda to move these models. Up to now, these models are no longer placed inside the "Luc Dao cave".

According to information from Ba Vang Pagoda, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of At Ty, for the first time, Ba Vang Pagoda introduced the miniature scene of "Luc Dao Cave" with a model of Tang Monk and his disciples going to get the sutras. On the morning of the first day of the Lunar New Year, the abbot of Ba Vang Pagoda, Thich Truc Thai Minh, took many children to experience the miniature scene of "Luc Dao Cave".
