Many social security activities in Ka Dang commune (Dong Giang)

The delegation visited the health and living conditions of the people and gave livelihoods to 5 extremely disadvantaged households, each receiving a breeding cow worth 12 million VND and 1 million VND in cash; presented 20 scholarships, each worth 3-4 million VND to students who overcame difficulties to study well.

According to Mr. Nguyen Viet Que Son - former Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, through the connection of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee, the delegation implemented this meaningful program in the mountainous commune of Ka Dang.

Mr. Son said that the entire budget of 175 million VND for this social security campaign came from the joint contributions of former Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union officials. It is even more meaningful when the activity is carried out during Youth Month, the month that has the Union's birthday.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Quang Nam, representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department and the working delegation visited and presented gifts to three policy families in Ka Dang commune (each worth 2 million VND). At the same time, they handed over a project to light up the countryside roads with solar energy worth 32.5 million VND.

In the coming time, the units that are twinned with Ka Dang commune, including the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, the Provincial Red Cross Society and Hang Gop Eco-tourism Joint Stock Company, will continue to carry out the project of lighting up the countryside roads with solar energy and some other social security activities in the twinned commune.
