The 2024 Asian Arts Festival takes place in Singapore from July 15 to July 21. This is an annual program sponsored by the Singapore government.
More than 1,000 contestants from 22 countries across Asia competed in this music playground. Performing excellently Aria Quando Me'nvo by composer G. Puccini, Vietnamese student Nguyen Kieu Oanh surpassed many contestants to win the Gold Cup.
"I am really overwhelmed with the result I achieved. The Gold Cup is beyond my expectations," Nguyen Kieu Oanh shared right after being awarded the Gold Cup at the Asian Arts Festival.
Kieu Oanh said she practiced diligently for 3 months before going to Singapore to participate in the competition and gave her all on stage.
The young singer from Ha Tinh said that the Asian Arts Festival Gold Cup is an important milestone in her musical career and a motivation for her to continue to improve her knowledge, skills, and expertise to further develop.
Nguyen Kieu Oanh was born in 2000 in the coastal commune of Thach Kim, Loc Ha, Ha Tinh. No one in her family is in the arts, but her father is passionate about music and he passed that love on to his daughter. Since childhood, Kieu Oanh has loved singing and has always been determined to do music-related work in the future.
At the age of 17, she passed the entrance exam to the Vietnam National Academy of Music. After graduating as valedictorian of the intermediate level, she went to the South to study vocal music at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music. Here, she was guided by Meritorious Artist Pham The Vi - Head of the Vocal Music Department.
