(NADS) - From October 3 to 18, the Hai Au Women's Photography Club will launch a book titled "Traditional Crafts" and open a photo exhibition of the same name to introduce the photos in the book at the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Cultural House.
The exhibition and photo book were launched to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the Vietnam Women's Union, the 43rd anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Cultural House and the 34th birthday of the Hai Au Women's Photography Club.
Traditional Vietnamese crafts are considered “precious gems”, preserving the soul of national culture. The photo book “Traditional Crafts” is a collection of passionate artistic photos, containing endless inspiration in every angle, through the insightful and creative perspective of female photographers of the Hai Au Women’s Photography Club under the Ho Chi Minh City Women’s Cultural House on a journey to discover traditional craft villages - where the spirit, values and passion of artisans and traditional craftsmen are preserved and transmitted day by day.
The works in this photo book and photo exhibition not only capture the authentic, rustic, delicate and diverse beauty of traditional crafts, but also convey a story about the love for traditional culture, the diligence, ingenuity and creativity of people who work hard day and night to preserve the soul of national culture through many generations. From the carvings and shaping on ceramics to the meticulousness in each silk thread and fabric thread... are the crystallization of time, patience and love for the craft of the craftsmen that have been "transformed" by female photographers into vivid works of art, connecting traditional cultural values in the contemporary flow, creating unique characteristics and eternal values of traditional crafts in the flow of constant modernization.
This photo book opens up to us a colorful and meaningful world, where craft villages not only exist but also continue to develop, adapt and shine in modern life. At the same time, it is a tribute to the craftsmen in preserving the traditions and culture of the nation. The photos depicted with respect and love in this book are the results of the serious artistic work of the female artists of the Hai Au Club of Photography - this is not only a valuable cultural document but also a strong inspiration of traditional cultural values so that the younger generation can understand, appreciate and love the culture of the nation more, thereby contributing to maintaining and preserving the national cultural identity.
Hopefully, through each page of the book, we will feel the beauty and magic of traditional Vietnamese handicrafts, and at the same time understand and appreciate the precious cultural values that we are preserving.
We wish our readers an emotional experience on their journey to these traditional craft villages.
