(NLDO) - Many awards were given to authors and groups of authors for their compositions responding to the Campaign with the theme "HCMC - 50 years of proud heroic epic".
The announcement and award ceremony of the Campaign to compose, stage and promote literary and artistic works towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 to April 30, 2025) with the theme: "HCMC - 50 years of proud heroic epic" took place on the evening of December 30, at the City Theater.
This campaign was organized and launched by the City People's Committee in July 2023. After more than a year of launching, the campaign has received 630 works from 434 authors and groups of authors from all over the country participating in many fields: music, cinema, architecture, dance, fine arts, photography, theater, literature.

The Preliminary, Final 1 and Final 2 Councils have worked impartially, with the spirit of respecting the creativity and dedication of the artists participating in the Campaign to select outstanding works to propose to the Organizing Committee for consideration and awarding of prizes.
The authors participating in the Campaign include both famous and non-professional authors from all over the country. They brought to the Campaign many works of high ideological and artistic value; diversity and richness in form and content, especially the works that closely followed the theme, expressing a strong aspiration for a Ho Chi Minh City reaching new heights in the future, while preserving the identity of the city with many unique cultural features.
At the announcement and award ceremony, a total of 83 authors and groups of authors won first, second, third and consolation prizes in various fields. In particular, in the music field, there were 2 first prizes for the works: "Hello 50 years of the radiant city named after Him", song category, author Tran Xuan Mai Tram (pen name: Mai Tram); "My city - Proud aspiration", choir category, author Tran Le Tra Thanh.

The first prize in the theater field belongs to the work "Saigon Fire" in the reformed opera genre, author Pham Duong My Thu Huyen.

The first prizes in the fields of literature, architecture, and photography respectively went to "Following the Footsteps of People" in the category of memoirs, author Trinh Quang Phu; "Ho Chi Minh City Children's Palace" in the category of works with a space >=2000m2, author Nguyen Truong Luu; "Spring in the City Named After Uncle Ho" in the category of single photos, author Pham Thi Quynh Nga, and "Saigon Black & White" in the category of photo book (photo series)", author Hoang Trung Thuy.
Dance Awards
The first prize in the dance field belongs to the work "The City I Love" in the dance poetry genre, author To Nguyet Nga and the first prize in fine arts belongs to the work "Young Rhythm of Life (Mixed material 110 x 130 cm) - 2024 in the painting genre, author Do Dinh Mien and "Dear Uncle Ho, our generation vows to make the city named after you better (2 x 1.22m)" in the monumental painting genre, author Co Tan Long Chau.

Starting from 2025, the City Department of Culture and Sports will take the lead in coordinating with relevant agencies and units to organize activities to stage, propagate and promote works that have won high prizes in the Campaign, contributing to spreading the value of the works to the public, practically celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 to April 30, 2025).
The announcement and award ceremony had many special singing and dancing performances interspersed with the award presentation.
