* On the morning of May 4, at the Government Headquarters, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the regular Government meeting for April 2024, discussing many important contents.

The meeting focused on assessing the socio-economic situation in April and the first four months of 2024, the allocation and disbursement of public investment capital, the implementation of three national target programs, the direction and administration of the Government and the Prime Minister, directions, tasks, key solutions in the coming time and a number of other important contents.

* On the morning of May 4, the Lai Chau Provincial Delegation led by Comrade Vu Manh Ha - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, offered flowers and incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at the Kim Lien National Special Relic Site.

* On the morning of May 4, the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province held a conference to collect comments on the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Notarization and the Law on Property Auction. The conference recorded 11 comments that were close to reality.

* The industrial production index in Nghe An increased by more than 11% in April. Specifically, according to the Department of Industry and Trade, the industrial production index in April 2024 in the province is estimated to increase by 11.23% over the same period. Specifically: Mining industry increased by 32.75%; Processing and manufacturing industry increased by 12.16%; Water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment increased by 6.39%; Production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning decreased by 5.28%.

* On the morning of May 4, Nam Dan district organized a voter consultation on the Project on rearranging commune-level administrative units for the 2023-2025 period in the district at 20 polling stations in 4 communes to be merged.

The total number of voters whose list was finalized to give their opinions on the Project on administrative unit arrangement for the period 2023 - 2025 in 20 polling stations in 4 merged communes in Nam Dan district was 14,338 people and the voter participation rate reached 100%.

* In April 2024, in the brackish water shrimp farming area in Quynh Luu district, Nghe An, there was an unusual shrimp death situation. Nghe An provincial authorities conducted inspections and took samples for testing to find the cause of the disease.

From the test results of the professional agency, it can be seen that the shrimp deaths in Quynh Luu are most likely not due to disease but due to shortcomings and weaknesses in farming methods as well as shrimp farming infrastructure in this area.
