(Baoquangngai.vn) - On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and people of Quang Ngai province, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Bui Thi Quynh Van sincerely sends to the Party, State and people of all Lao ethnic groups and the family of comrade Khamtay Siphandone the deepest condolences.

On the morning of April 5, at the Lao Consulate General in Da Nang City, Central Party Committee member, Provincial Party Secretary, Provincial People's Council Chairwoman Bui Thi Quynh Van led a delegation from Quang Ngai province to pay tribute to comrade Khamtay Siphandone - former Chairman of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, former President, former Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

Also attending were Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Dinh Thi Hong Minh; Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Cao Phuc; Permanent Vice Chairman in charge of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Xuan Men; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee Office and leaders of the Provincial People's Committee Office.

Comrade Bui Thi Quynh Van sent condolences to the staff of the Lao Consulate General in Da Nang City, and wrote in the condolence book to express her infinite regret at the passing of comrade Khamtay Siphandone.

In the condolence book, comrade Bui Thi Quynh Van wrote: “The Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ngai province are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of comrade Khamtay Siphandone, former Chairman of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, former President, and former Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic. We would like to send our deepest condolences to the Party, State, and people of Laos, as well as to the family of comrade Khamtay Siphandone. Comrade Khamtay Siphandone was an outstanding leader of the first generation, a key member of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, and made great contributions to the revolutionary cause and the construction of a prosperous Laos. He made particularly great and important contributions to the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, as well as the friendship and cooperation between localities of Vietnam and Laos, including Quang Ngai province and the southern provinces of Laos. The Party, State, and The Vietnamese people in general and Quang Ngai province in particular always respect and remember the contributions of comrade Khamtay Siphandone to the relationship between the two Parties, two countries and two peoples.

Former Party Chairman, former President, former Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Khamtay Siphandone was an outstanding leader, an outstanding son of the Lao people, a loyal revolutionary soldier, who sacrificed his whole life for national independence, freedom, happiness of the people and the prosperous development of Laos.

As a great and close friend of the Party, State and people of Vietnam, comrade Khamtay Siphandone, together with President Ho Chi Minh, President Kaysone Phomvihane, President Souphanouvong and the leaders of the two countries, laid a solid foundation and devoted himself to cultivating the special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos into an exemplary, loyal and pure relationship that is rare in the world, summarized in two verses of President Ho Chi Minh: "Vietnam and Laos, our two countries/Our love is deeper than the waters of the Red River and the Mekong River".
