Recently, Tam Quang Border Guard Station (Nghe An Border Guard), Tam Quang Commune People's Committee (Tuong Duong District) coordinated with philanthropists to organize the groundbreaking ceremony for drilling wells, repairing and building the "Border Dormitory" model for schools and secondary school students of Tan Huong and Tung Huong villages with a total amount of nearly 250 million VND.
It is known that the two border villages of Tan Huong and Tung Huong (Tam Quang commune, Tuong Duong district, Nghe An province) have 79 students studying at Tam Quang Secondary School, many of whom come from poor or near-poor families.

Due to the long distance from home to school, the steep and winding roads, the children have to stay with families around the school in cramped and deprived living conditions, having to take care of everything themselves at a young age... which has greatly affected their psychology as well as the quality of their studies, some of whom have considered dropping out of school...
Thanks to the connection and mobilization of the Tam Quang Border Guard Station Command and the Party Committee and the Tam Quang Commune Government, the project has received the support of benefactors. At the groundbreaking ceremony, organizations and individuals donated 03 wells, 21 bunk beds, 01 freezer, kitchen construction materials and 80 gifts to disadvantaged students with a total initial support fund for repairing and building the model worth nearly 250 million VND.
After completing the “Border Dormitory” model, there will be about 30 to 40 students eating, living, and studying. During their stay at the Dormitory, students will be guided by Border Guards and teachers, equipped with necessary knowledge, trained in life skills, self-reliance, laundry, how to plant and care for crops, etc.

Also through this "Border Dormitory" model, it aims to help secondary school students of Tan Huong and Tung Huong villages have favorable conditions for eating, living, studying and practicing, helping them develop best physically and mentally and have good conditions to become future owners of the country.
