On February 9 (the 30th day of the Lunar New Year), Phu Quoc city, Kien Giang province welcomed the Aida Bella cruise ship to Duong Dong Phu Quoc International Passenger Port, with 1,979 European tourists.

This is one of the largest and most modern cruise ships in the world with more than 90% of tourists being German nationals, visiting the "Pearl Island".
The European tourist group visited tourist attractions, including: Phu Quoc Night Market, Vinwonders, Vinpearl Safari, Hon Thom cable car, and Hon Bridge. Tourists also explored the most beautiful beaches of Phu Quoc and the small islands near the shore, with unique coral reefs; visited traditional villages of fish sauce, pepper...
Besides, visitors can enjoy local specialties and participate in other recreational activities such as: diving, fishing, kayaking...
Previously, on February 2, the cruise ship Costa Serena (Italy) departed from Laem Chabang Port (Thailand), bringing 1,100 international visitors to visit Phu Quoc.
Mr. Bui Quoc Thai, Director of Kien Giang Department of Tourism, said that in early 2024 and the time to prepare for the Lunar New Year 2024, Phu Quoc will continuously welcome 2 5-star cruise ships (Costa Serena and Aida Bella), bringing thousands of international visitors to visit and travel to the "Pearl Island".
This is a good sign, a positive start for Phu Quoc tourism in particular and Kien Giang province tourism in general. The province will further promote and advertise the image of Phu Quoc tourism to domestic and foreign tourists.

According to the People's Committee of Phu Quoc City, from the beginning of 2024 to now, Phu Quoc has welcomed more than 502,000 visitors. Of which, international visitors are estimated to welcome 82,615, up 6.1% over the same period; total revenue is about 1,763 billion VND, up 2.3% over the same period.
