With the goal of improving service quality and bringing benefits to both customers and businesses, Ha Tinh Electricity Company is promoting digital transformation from records to the grid in a synchronous and modern direction.
Digitize records and services
Paying electricity bills electronically has become a habit of many customers in Ha Tinh. It is worth mentioning that not only urban areas but also rural people have used this type of service. Digital transactions in payment not only help the electricity industry save costs, easily manage and store records, but also create convenience for customers.
Ha Tinh Electricity Company signed contracts with many banks to collect electricity bills.
Ms. Tran Thi Xuan (Thach Quy Ward, Ha Tinh City) said: “In the past, when it was time to pay the electricity bill, I had to go to the electricity headquarters to handle it. Many times when I was busy with work and forgot to pay, the staff sent me a notice which was very annoying. When the electricity industry signed a contract with the bank to collect the electricity bill, the bank would automatically deduct it every month so I didn't have to waste time going back and forth to make the transaction.”
Currently, customers in Ha Tinh City are using software to pay their electricity bills. Mr. Dau Xuan Long - Head of Business Department, Ha Tinh City Electricity said: "Thanks to the drastic propaganda and mobilization of customers about the benefits of electronic payment methods, up to now, 100% of the unit's customers have made electricity payments through banks and intermediary organizations. Of which, 36% of customers have automatically cleared their debts."
According to the Business Department, Ha Tinh Electricity Company, by early September 2023, there were 348,456 customers paying electricity bills without cash/a total of 451,509 customers making payments in the month. With the rate of automatic debit via bank account and payment via Mobile Money, there were 72,725 (customers participating in automatic debit)/a total of 451,509 customers making payments in the month).
Using remote electronic meters, customers' monthly electricity index will be automatically transferred to the management software of the Electricity Companies.
In the field of business - customer service, Ha Tinh Electricity Company also focuses on digitalization in providing electricity services by electronic means, digitalizing electricity purchase contracts, electronic invoices... The modern services that the enterprise is implementing help customers conveniently participate, monitor and supervise.
Mr. Phan Van Anh - Head of Business Department, Ha Tinh Electricity Company said: Currently, steps such as survey, signing of electricity purchase and sale contracts... are all carried out electronically. Level 4 online electricity services of Vietnam Electricity Group have been connected to the national public service portal. When people and businesses have requests, they just need to access the website to be able to use services such as: new power supply from the medium voltage grid; change of electricity usage capacity, change of 1-phase, 3-phase meter type...
The electricity industry has also installed electronic meters combined with a remote data collection system. When the time comes, workers do not need to go to record meter readings as before, but the data is automatically and accurately updated via software. By early September 2023, remote measurement at the source of public transformer stations and specialized transformer stations throughout the company reached a rate of 99.65%, remote measurement at the source of 110kV transformer stations reached a rate of 100%...
Applying digital platform in grid operation
Mr. Nguyen Tri Dung - Head of Technical Department, Ha Tinh Power Company said: "Deploying digital transformation in technical management - operation, the company focuses on building a smart grid infrastructure operating on a digital platform. In particular, the unmanned 110kV transformer station system is a strong digital transformation step in operation. The company is managing 12 110kV transformer stations. Previously, operating these 12 transformer stations in the traditional way required about 96 workers, but now thanks to the application of digital transformation, the workforce has been reduced to 45 people.
Operating parameters of 12 110 KV transformer stations are transmitted via the SCADA system and saved on the computer.
Ha Tinh Electricity Company is managing and operating 73 medium voltage lines with a total length of over 3,500 km. With the goal of constantly improving the quality of power sources and reliability of power supply, the company has rotated and installed modern equipment. Specifically, it has installed and operated 231 Recloser/LBS sets capable of connecting SCADA to the Remote Control Center to monitor operations and be remotely controlled at the control center. Thereby, contributing to flexibility in monitoring the operation of the power system, switching wires, dividing lines when incidents occur, restoring power as quickly as possible...; meeting the requirements of the people and ensuring safety for operators who do not have to operate directly.
"At the same time, the electricity industry is deploying digital transformation software that provides good support for technical and safety work, including: GIS system for managing the grid, locating on the map, PMIS software for managing the volume of lines, transformer stations and equipment on the grid, NEMO software to help calculate power loss on the grid, monitoring labor safety with ECP software... The above software is gradually replacing the traditional way of managing and operating the grid. Thereby, helping to improve labor productivity, facilitate grid management, easily update and look up grid information and reduce losses, improve power supply reliability, and meet customer satisfaction" - Mr. Nguyen Tri Dung affirmed.
In the digital transformation roadmap in the coming years, Ha Tinh Electricity Company will continue to train and improve the qualifications of its staff and workers to keep up with new trends. At the same time, it will focus on mobilizing resources to invest in infrastructure and modern equipment; promoting the application of information technology in all fields... to maximize production and business results.
