According to China Daily, China's robot industry continued to grow positively, with a year-on-year increase of 5.4%. The installed capacity of industrial robots accounted for more than half of the global share, ranking as the world's largest industrial robot market.

Meanwhile, China’s service robot output grew 9.6% in the first half of this year, with the operating revenue of China’s robot industry expected to exceed 170 billion yuan ($23.3 billion) by 2022, maintaining double-digit growth.

According to the World Robotics Report 2022 released by the International Federation of Robotics, China has 392 robots per 10,000 workers in the manufacturing industry, behind South Korea (1,000), Singapore (670), Japan (399) and Germany (397).

Up to now, the overall development level of China's robot industry has been continuously improved, and a complete industrial chain system has basically been formed from components, machinery to integrated applications, and the localization of core components has also been accelerated. Advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, new materials and brain-computer interface (BCI) have developed rapidly and have been applied in robot production lines one after another.

At present, technological innovation capability is the criterion for the development of China's robot technology, and is also the core of the competitiveness of the country's robot industry. Since the beginning of 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China has issued an action plan, aiming to double the density of robot production by 2025 compared to 2020, in order to promote high-quality economic and social development.

The plan calls for a focus on 10 major application areas, including: manufacturing, agriculture, construction, energy, logistics, medical care, elderly care, education, commercial services, emergency response, and applications in harsh environments. The plan emphasizes efforts to build a collaborative innovation system for the production and application of robots, and to accelerate the development and promotion of robot application standards.

One of the reasons for the development of China's robot industry is the large robot application market. In addition, robots are playing an increasingly important role in many large projects such as aerospace, lunar exploration, or fire detection...
