From August 9 to 11, in Da Nang City, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs coordinated with the US Embassy to organize a training course on modern communication skills and foreign information for spokespersons and officers in charge of foreign press and propaganda work in provinces and cities nationwide.

In her opening remarks, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang emphasized that this is the first media training course organized on the basis of cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the US Department of State and received the response of provinces and cities across the country, with the participation of 62 students from 49 provinces and cities. The course has practical content, contributing to supporting capacity building for local officials directly implementing foreign information work.
Attending the opening ceremony, US Ambassador to Vietnam Marc Knapper affirmed that the course is an event held at a special time, helping Vietnam and the US become closer and deepen their relationship on many levels.
In addition to training to improve the quality of human resources, the training course also builds a network and increases connections between foreign information forces of provinces and cities across the country in general and with the US Embassy in particular, thereby contributing to further strengthening understanding and cooperation in the future as well as strengthening relations between the two countries.
