Mr. U Myint Lin, father of victim Htet Maung Maung, said: “On the day of the earthquake, my family was at home, while Htet Maung Maung was working at the hotel. In the past few days, the family had not received any news about their son, only this morning were we informed that Htet Maung Maung was still alive.”

4 more bodies discovered
On the same morning, the rescue team of the Vietnam People's Army was provided with a detailed diagram of the hospital and suspected locations of trapped victims by doctors at Ottara Thiri Hospital; at the same time, they said that there were likely 14-20 victims in the hospital (of which 1 body was found by the rescue team of the Vietnam People's Army on April 1).
The team deployed 3 search teams and tried to find a way to get the victims out. As of noon today, 4 bodies have been discovered.
Lieutenant Colonel Tran Trung Dung, Deputy Chief of Staff of Brigade 229, Head of the Collapse Rescue Team, Engineering Corps, said that the hospital's beams and floors were designed with concrete and steel, and concrete cutters had to be used to reach trapped victims.
Meanwhile, dog trainers continued to scout other locations in the hospital in search of more victims.
Right at Ottara Thiri Hospital, the Vietnam People's Army has also set up a disaster relief medical team with full emergency equipment, specialized medical examination and treatment in internal medicine and surgery to examine, treat and provide free medicine to local people as well as rescue forces.
