Enhance value and competitiveness of local products

Collective economy, of which the core is cooperatives, is one of the important factors promoting the development of household economy. Following the trend of increasingly competitive market, many cooperatives in Phu Ninh district have expanded their scale, improved product quality and developed their brands. Thereby creating more jobs, increasing income for people and promoting the sustainable development of the local economy.

Enhance value and competitiveness of local products

Tien Phu Agricultural Service Cooperative, Tien Phu commune produces tea in a safe direction, contributing to the development of the collective brand of Chua Ta green tea.

The district has 41 cooperatives operating in the agricultural sector; 5 cooperatives operating in the industrial and handicraft sectors; 4 cooperatives operating in the transport, environment and medicinal materials sectors; 2 cooperatives operating in general trade. The collective economic sector attracts more than 5,400 members.

In the district, many dynamic economic models have emerged in organizing production, business, developing services, investing in technological innovation, applying scientific and technical advances, increasing labor productivity, and reducing product costs. Many cooperatives have chosen key products, typical of the locality to promote production, business, build brands, helping cooperatives improve operational efficiency, expand markets, and develop sustainably. In particular, most newly established agricultural cooperatives have chosen typical products, strengths to build and develop product brands.

Cooperatives contribute to gathering member households, producing on a large scale, ensuring quality standards, accessing a larger market, contributing to increasing value and income for people. Products after being registered with collective trademarks all increase consumption output and the market is expanded. To develop typical and strong products, 3 cooperatives have registered collective trademarks, including Tien Phu Agricultural Service Cooperative with the Chua Ta tea brand; Gia Thanh Agricultural Service Cooperative with the Gia Thanh seedless persimmon brand; Tu Da Agricultural Cooperative with the Tu Da fish sauce brand.

Binh Phu Commune has over 50 households producing fermented fish, making efforts to build the Tu Da fermented fish brand. Comrade Ha Ke Tai - Chairman of the Commune People's Committee said: "The profession of making fermented fish has become the main profession, bringing a good income to many households in the commune. With the traditional method of natural fermentation, ensuring food hygiene and safety, fermented fish products are trusted and chosen by consumers. Developing fermented fish products in the direction of commodities, under the form of collective economy, the cooperative helps member households not only maintain production but also significantly improve competitiveness in the market, helping to increase consumption output. To expand the market, the commune encourages cooperatives and households to promote and introduce products, creating conditions for entities to participate in trade promotion through exhibitions and product introductions".

In addition, many other cooperatives are also operating effectively, creating high-quality products according to standards such as: Gia Thanh rose growing model according to VietGAP standards of Gia Thanh commune agricultural service cooperative; model of growing and producing Gypsum leaf products according to ISO 22000:2018 standards of Moc Quy Huong medicinal cooperative...

In the coming time, the district will develop cooperative models associated with rural industry products and key products, typical advantages of the district and the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program. Strengthen economic and organizational linkages and cooperation between cooperatives and between cooperatives and different economic organizations with the aim of mobilizing maximum resources for development. Actively guide and support cooperatives in applying new technical advances in production, transferring new and advanced scientific and technological advances, especially technology on varieties, technology on preliminary processing, preservation and processing of agricultural products, creating breakthroughs in productivity and product quality.
