After the meeting, the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City (DIC) determined that Nam Thu's meeting with the media was a press conference. Due to not asking for permission as required, the actress was administratively fined 2 million VND.
On August 9, representative of the Company Nam Thu Entertainment came to work at the invitation of the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City.

Grandma Pham Dac My Tran said that any agency, organization or individual who organizes a press conference without going through the Department of Information and Communications is violating the regulations. When detecting individuals or organizations violating the regulations, the competent authority has the right to stop the event and impose administrative penalties based on the provisions of the Press Law.
"All cases of organizing international conferences, seminars, and press conferences before taking place require a license from the competent authority. Business units and event venue rental units need to clearly understand the regulations and need to ask the organizing unit if it has a license or not," said Ms. My Tran.
Represent The Press Office of the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City said that the specialized agency had information that Nam Thu held a press conference but did not ask for permission. According to regulations, the application for a press conference license must be sent by individuals or organizations to the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City 24 hours before the main event.
Regarding the question of whether a "media meeting" is different from a press conference, Ms. My Tran said that individuals and organizations that avoid the term must be responsible for the information they provide at the event.
The press conference on August 5 was an event for Nam Thu to explain the noise of being accused of stealing her husband. The actress also denied using stimulants. All posts from the account Zyy Doo (The people who accused Nam Thu) are all slanderous.
Nam Thu said she had many advertising contracts and film projects canceled, losing billions of dong. She authorized a lawyer, filed a complaint with the police and denounced the behavior of Zyy Doo users.
Zyy Doo account ignored Nam Thu's warning and continued to post about the actress. In one month, this person had nearly 80 posts (with no sign of stopping) that the audience thought were implying that "Nam Thu is the third person".
