Latest information from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development shows that agricultural, forestry and fishery exports in November 2024 recorded a growth rate of nearly 14% over the same period last year.

In the first 11 months of 2024, the total export value of agricultural products reached 56.74 billion USD, an increase of 19% over the same period in 2023. This is also a historical record high, surpassing the 53.1 billion USD of the whole year of 2023.

Notably, many agricultural export products are competing to set new records.

For example, coffee exports in the past 11 months earned 4.84 billion USD, up 32.8% over the same period in 2023 - the highest level in history.

Or rice, in 11 months, our country exported nearly 8.5 million tons of rice, earning 5.31 billion USD, up 10.6% in volume and 22.4% in value compared to the same period last year. Rice exports set records in both output and value.

In the fruit and vegetable industry, durian exports continued to boom, bringing the export turnover of the entire fruit and vegetable industry to a record high of 6.66 billion USD, a sharp increase of 28.2% over the same period in 2023.

Vietnam's cashew export turnover also exceeded the 4 billion USD mark for the first time, up 21.4% over the same period last year.

Meanwhile, pepper, considered the "black gold" of our country, reached 1.22 billion USD, up 46.5%, and at the same time regained its position as a billion-dollar industry.

Regarding export markets, the US and China both spent a lot of money to "purchase" 43.3% of Vietnam's agricultural, forestry and fishery products in the past 11 months.

Of which, exports to the US market accounted for 21.7%, China with 21.6% and Japan with 6.6%. These are also the 3 largest export markets of Vietnam.

Compared to the same period last year, the export value of agricultural commodity groups to the US market increased by 24.6%, to China by 11% and to Japan by 5.5%.

In the past 11 months, the agricultural sector had a trade surplus of 16.46 billion USD, up 52.8% over the same period last year.
