Báo Lao Động•19/03/2024
Bai Lu (Nghe An) captivates tourists with the beauty of the mountains, forests and immense, peaceful ocean.
Bai Lu is also called Lu Son by locals, with an area of nearly 160 hectares, located in Nghi Yen and Nghi Tien communes, Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province. Bai Lu bay has an arc shape, looking from afar like a crescent moon, so it is also known as "Moonlight Bay". The name Bai Lu comes from the name of Lu Son mountain. According to an ancient legend, there was once a traveler who loved to travel around mountains and rivers, and was enchanted by the beautiful face and singing voice of a mermaid. To find her, he followed the singing voice to the sea, stopped in front of a temple, offered incense, and worshiped Buddha. He stood alone in the sea, waiting to meet her until he transformed into Lu Mountain. To get to Bai Lu, visitors from Hanoi can take a bus, train, or drive their own car, traveling a distance of more than 300 km in about 6 hours. If in Saigon, visitors can take a plane to Vinh city, then go to Bai Lu by motorbike or car. This beach is about 25 km from Cua Lo town, about 40 km from Vinh city center. The ocean penetrates deep into the mainland, creating the vast Bai Lu sea, surrounded by majestic high mountains and lush green pine trees. The waves race against the cliffs, creating an indescribable beauty. The ideal time to travel to Bai Lu is from April to June. Coming here, visitors can participate in fun activities on the beach, swim or watch the beautiful sunrise. For those who do not like crowded places, Bai Lu will be an ideal stopover. Bai Lu is more than 10 km long, with clear sea water and gentle waves on the long, sloping sandy shore. This place is still quite wild, with not many restaurants or tourist services. In the near future, there will be more new resorts and hotels built to serve the needs of tourists. In addition to swimming, visitors also have the opportunity to experience camping on the sim hill, located on the way to Bai Lu beach. From the top of the hill, looking far away, you will see the beautiful scenery of Bai Lu. About 10km from this beach, visitors can visit the 700-year-old shipbuilding village Trung Kien in Nghi Thiet commune, Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province. In addition, visitors can combine traveling to Cua Hoi, about 22km from Bai Lu, taking 30 - 40 minutes to travel.
