Quynh Doi Village is recognized as a tourist destination.

On September 24, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued a decision to recognize Quynh Doi Village as a tourist destination in Quynh Doi commune, Quynh Luu district.

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee requested the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district to take the responsibility of presiding over and coordinating with relevant agencies, organizations and individuals to manage the Quynh Doi Village tourist site to protect, preserve and develop tourism resources.

At the same time, create favorable and safe conditions for tourists to visit; social order and safety, environmental protection, community participation in tourism activities; favorable conditions for traffic participation of means of transporting tourists.

Along with that, promulgate regulations and rules for managing and exploiting Quynh Doi Village tourist site in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Tourism and related documents.

Develop explanatory content, promotional and introductory publications to promote the value of tourist destinations. At the same time, maintain the assessed criteria.

Nghe An Provincial Department of Tourism guides, inspects, urges and supervises the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district to implement the contents of the above decision and performs the function of state management of tourism for Quynh Doi Village Tourist Site to ensure strict compliance with the provisions of law.

Previously, in early April 2024, in a document sent to the People's Committee of Nghe An province asking for opinions on adjusting the names of 8 commune-level administrative units after the merger, Quynh Luu district proposed combining new names for the communes, in which Quynh Doi and Quynh Hau communes were renamed Doi Hau commune. Many people did not agree with this name, because they wanted to keep the name Quynh Doi.

In early June, Nghe An Provincial Party Committee decided not to merge Quynh Doi commune with Quynh Hau commune in the 2023-2025 period. The merger of these two communes will be considered in the 2026-2030 period.

Quynh Doi village is a famous place in Nghe An with a tradition of mandarin examinations. From 1444 to 1725, Quynh Doi had 707 people passing the mandarin examinations from the beginning of the region to the third class, second class, and doctorate.

Among them are many famous people such as Ho Si Duong, Ho Phi Tich, Pham Dinh Toai..., especially the "Queen of Nom poetry" Ho Xuan Huong. This place has 8 national historical and cultural relics and 3 provincial relics.
