Attending the event were Deputy Chief of Mission of the US Embassy in Vietnam Courtney Beale, Agricultural Counselor of the US Embassy Ralph Bean, agricultural exporters and representatives of US food industry associations.

In her opening remarks, Ms. Courtney Beale emphasized the importance of the Vietnamese market for US agricultural and food exports. In particular, Vietnam is the 10th largest agricultural export market of the United States, with an impressive value of agricultural products reaching 3.4 billion USD. This is a testament to the wide-open opportunities for US farmers, ranchers and food manufacturers.

Explaining the growing demand for U.S. agricultural products around the world, Deputy Ambassador Courtney Beale said that U.S. farmers and food producers always ensure that their products meet the most stringent standards in the world. From fresh agricultural products, grains, meat, dairy to processed foods, all from the United States are recognized for their consistency, safety and high quality.

At the same time, Ms. Courtney Beale affirmed that the efforts of the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) team in Vietnam play an important role in helping US agricultural products gain the trust of consumers around the world. FAS contributes to promoting trade, addressing challenges and ensuring that US products are welcomed in Vietnam, opening up new opportunities for US businesses.

The US Deputy Ambassador said that this year is of special significance as Vietnam and the United States celebrate 30 years of diplomatic relations. This is an important milestone, demonstrating the success of the partnership between the two countries, and agricultural trade is a strong driving force for this development.

In an interview with The World and Vietnam Newspaper, the representative of the US Food Export Association, Mr. Le Van Anh Tu, said that US beef has been exported to Vietnam since 1997 and has gradually become familiar with Vietnamese meals. He also emphasized that this event is not only an opportunity to connect old partners, but also helps expand relationships with new partners in Vietnam. Participating in this year's exhibition, the US Meat Export Association in Vietnam brings products with "US standard" quality, but with creative adjustments in the way the meat is cut and divided to suit Vietnamese consumers.

Sharing about the quality standards of US beef in the Vietnamese market, he commented that the US is one of the countries that produces the largest amount of beef in the world, however, the export output compared to domestic consumption is quite small, only less than 20%.

The United States always has organizations to handle drug residues (to control diseases) in beef and other meats in the general livestock process such as the Food and Drug Administration (FSIS). In addition, meat quality is also strictly controlled by the government. All inspection processes are carried out with modern machinery according to standards to ensure the input and output quality of products before reaching consumers.

The third International Exhibition on Food, Beverages, Bakery Equipment, Restaurants, Hotels and Service Supplies - Food & Hospitality Hanoi 2025 takes place from March 18-20 at the Hanoi International Exhibition Center ICE. The event brings together more than 180 exhibitors from 24 countries, with 70% international booths, providing open opportunities for trade and cooperation in the F&B and hotel services industry.

The exhibition features major businesses such as Andros Vietnam, Dalat Milk, Dyson, Good Food, Vinabeef… with a variety of products from food, beverages to hotel equipment. Highlights include professional competitions related to cuisine, especially the Asia's Excellent Taste Awards 2025 – the first international culinary award in Vietnam.

This is not only an opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to strengthen connections with international partners, but also an event that helps participants update trends, thereby improving quality and promoting the development of the tourism, restaurant and hotel industry in both Vietnam and around the world.
