Since the rural roads were solidified and new roads were built, traveling has become much more convenient than before, vehicles run smoothly as if they were in the city... that is the feeling of the rural people in the homeland of the Ancestors. With the mindset of "Opening the way for development", in recent times, the province has prioritized and allocated resources for rural roads development, so that today the appearance of all rural areas has changed rapidly. Those roads have contributed to awakening the potential of each region, creating momentum for socio-economic development, bringing a prosperous life to the people.
Thanks to investment and upgrading, many roads in Ha Giap commune (Phu Ninh district) have been expanded, facilitating the exchange of goods.
Open country road
In the gentle sunny weather of the approaching Spring, we returned to Cam Khe district to immerse ourselves in the joy of change here. Walking along the straight roads that have been concreted and asphalted, with flowers and trees planted along the roadsides, people and vehicles bustling back and forth, creating continuous "blood vessels" connecting to villages and hamlets, creating communication between localities inside and outside the district, this has awakened the potential, creating momentum for the socio-economic development.
Comrade Tran Thanh Trung - Head of the Economic and Infrastructure Department of Cam Khe district shared: “In previous years, many inter-village and inter-commune roads in the district were extremely difficult to travel, so at the Congresses, the District Party Committee always determined that transportation must go first, open roads, and create breakthroughs to create the premise for poverty reduction and sustainable development. In particular, since the implementation of Resolution No. 05 of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee on rural transport development in the period of 2021 - 2025, it has changed the awareness of organizations and individuals in participating in the construction and development of the rural transport system, creating a premise for the construction and socio-economic development of rural and urban areas. After 4 years of implementation, the targets of the Resolution have basically been achieved and exceeded the set targets. By the end of 2024, the rate of hardening rural transport roads will reach 83.6%".
With beautiful roads, people strive to do business and develop the economy. Comrade Nguyen Trong Phu - Chairman of Hung Viet Commune People's Committee said: Thanks to the attention of the Party, the State, and the contributions of the people, many dirt roads in the commune have now been concreted. With concrete roads, traders can go to the fields to buy agricultural products, and the lives of people in the commune have been significantly improved. Cultural and artistic exchanges, goods exchanges, etc. are carried out more frequently.
Not only Cam Khe district, the rural transport system in Phu Ninh district is also considered one of the bright spots of the province. Comrade Nguyen Long Giang - Vice Chairman of Phu Ninh District People's Committee said: "The Resolution of the Phu Ninh District Party Congress, term 2020-2025, has identified one of the breakthroughs as synchronous development of infrastructure, in which investment in traffic development is one of the key tasks. To achieve the set goals, the district has issued a complete legal corridor to help the implementation of traffic projects take place smoothly. Along with maximizing resources, effectively integrating capital sources to invest in traffic development, the district also promotes administrative procedure reform; strengthens the work of mobilizing people to create consensus in site clearance work".
It can be seen that the traffic infrastructure in the district has developed strongly in both quantity and quality. The rate of hardening rural roads in the district alone has reached 89.85%, of which the rate of hardening district roads has reached 100%, the rate of hardening commune and inter-commune roads has reached 100%; the rate of hardening village and hamlet roads has reached 99.37%; the rate of clean and muddy alleys and hamlets in the rainy season has reached 87.78%; the rate of hardened main intra-field roads has reached 67.84%. Based on the invested traffic infrastructure, Phu Ninh has focused on encouraging and attracting investors, creating conditions for economic sectors to develop and improve people's lives.

Driving force for development
Identifying rural transport infrastructure development as one of the important factors, not only a "lever" to promote socio-economic development but also contributing to improving the quality of life of rural people. Therefore, rural transport development work is integrated into the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, which has been included in the Resolution directing implementation by the 19th Provincial Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025. As an advisory body of the Provincial New Rural Steering Committee, every year the Department of Transport has proactively advised and developed a plan to solidify rural transport roads in the whole province; strengthened the direction, inspection and urging of the People's Committees of districts, cities and towns to solidify rural transport roads; provided guidance on technical expertise, standards and regulations for the construction of rural transport roads. Annually, the Department, based on the implementation results, synthesizes and sends to the Department of Finance to propose and report to the Provincial People's Committee to balance and arrange the budget for the consolidation of rural roads in the following year; at the same time, promptly propose and report to the Provincial People's Committee on difficulties and problems that need to be directed and resolved during the implementation of the plan. Along with that, localities in the province take advantage of the State's support, proactively integrate with investment programs and projects; promote propaganda work on the importance of expanding rural roads, thereby gaining the consensus of people to donate land and contribute funds to implement the project.
Because Phu Tho is a midland mountainous province with terrain divided by many rivers and streams, the rural transport network is large, most of which are not yet in good condition, flash floods, flash floods, heavy rains, long-term rains, etc. often occur, causing damage to transport works, especially rural transport in remote areas. However, with many creative and effective ways, the development of rural transport in the province has achieved very positive results. By the end of 2024, the whole province has solidified over 9,000km, reaching a rate of 82.5%; exceeding the plan to solidify rural transport roads in the province in the period of 2021-2025, ensuring that by the end of 2025, the rate of solidifying rural transport in the province will reach at least 80%.
Continuing the achievements, in the coming time, Phu Tho province will continue to direct sectors and localities to continue promoting propaganda and mobilizing people to actively participate in building rural roads; attracting and calling for support from organizations and enterprises; utilizing resources to support the implementation of repairing, opening new, and hardening rural roads and works... Upgrading rural traffic infrastructure will create favorable conditions for production, consumption of agricultural products, development of service industry and small-scale industry, contributing to improving people's quality of life, reducing poverty and promoting sustainable development of the homeland.
