The Fatherland Front participates in monitoring public investment

The Nam Ken inter-village road has been newly invested and is nearly 1 km long. After nearly a month of construction, 70% of the project has been completed, ensuring standards on structure and infrastructure. This result was achieved thanks to the active participation of the Community Investment Supervision Board, from mobilizing people to donate land to open the road to supervising the construction unit during the implementation process.

Mr. Trieu Nguyen Phuc, a resident of Nam Ken village, said: "When we build a road for ourselves, we donate our land and also supervise to make sure the road surface is wide and the materials are correct so that we can travel. When the road is completed, traveling will be easier and more exciting."

According to Mr. Trieu Van Dinh, Head of Nam Ken village, after propaganda and mobilization, 27 households voluntarily donated land for road construction, including areas planted with cinnamon, xoan, and fat. "Every day, I directly check the construction unit to see if it meets the standards, especially whether the concrete grade is guaranteed to be 250 as designed," said Mr. Dinh.

Nam Ken people joined hands to open the road and supervise the construction to ensure the quality of the project.

From 2024 to present, Nam Dang commune has invested in upgrading, opening 4 new roads and implementing 1 anti-erosion embankment project at the Commune Cultural House. With the participation of the People's Inspection Committee, 5 Community Investment Supervision Committees have also been established. In addition to the members of the Commune Fatherland Front, Party cell secretaries, and village heads, the supervisory role of the people in the villages and hamlets has also been promoted.

Mr. Trieu Kim Tinh - Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Nam Dang commune said: "The members are assigned to check the works, propagate to the people to monitor, detect violations, remind and give opinions to the Fatherland Front. The Fatherland Front will reflect to the investor, promptly overcome the problems".

Nam Dang promotes the role of people in supervising local construction investment.

In 2024, Van Ban district established and effectively maintained 22 People's Inspection Boards and 22 Community Investment Supervision Boards, and organized nearly 80 supervisions of programs and projects. Since then, many shortcomings and limitations have been discovered, avoiding the loss of State investment resources, ensuring the rights and interests of the people.

Mr. Luong Van Tuan - Standing Member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Van Ban district emphasized: "The Supervisory Board is regularly strengthened, with the participation of the whole village and table, contributing to the implementation of grassroots democracy regulations, creating consensus among the people".

Van Ban promotes the effectiveness of people's supervision and protects public investment resources.

By effectively implementing the grassroots democracy regulations with the motto "People know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people supervise, people benefit", the establishment and effective maintenance of Community Investment Supervision Boards have contributed to improving the quality and efficiency of public investment projects and works in the area, strengthening people's trust.
