The 6th generation pickup truck will make its world debut in Thailand on July 26, with a rugged design that exudes off-road flair.
The front of the car impresses with a large, square grille with two horizontal bars and the logo in the middle. The hood seems to be raised higher than the previous generation.
The lighting layout is also different, with slim, high-set LED daytime running lights that look like the sharp eyes of a hawk, while the three-element headlights create a 3D effect. The horizontal T-shaped taillights.
Interior photos show two rotary knobs on the control screen, and in the center area another rotary knob for selecting driving modes (2H, 4H, 4HLc and 4LLc), along with a handbrake. The clocks may be digital.
Technical specifications are still being kept under wraps by Mitsubishi, but the Triton is said to use a new ladder-frame chassis system shared with the Nissan Navara but significantly upgraded. The engine could be a 2.4-liter, DOHC, turbodiesel 4N16 instead of the current 4N15 engine version.
Like the previous generation, the 2024 Triton will be produced in Thailand and exported to other markets including the ASEAN region, Oceania, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa.
When it goes on sale, the 2024 Triton will be available in a four-door Double Cab version, as well as a Mega Cab. A Single Cab version will be introduced later, according to Headlightmag . The Mega Cab is a four-door version, but with two smaller, reverse-opening rear doors, and additional storage behind the front seats.
