Beautiful champion causes a fever at Aqua Warriors Halong Bay 2025

Once again, in her second time participating in Aqua Warriors, athlete Le Thi Trang continued to show her excellence when winning the championship in the Full Aqua Warriors Relay (3km swim and 15km run).

Last year, at Aqua Warriors Van Don held in September, Le Thi Trang and her teammate Ngo Manh Cuong won this event. At Aqua Warriors Halong Bay 2025, both continued to show that they have no rivals in their forte. Right after the tournament, Le Thi Trang had an interesting conversation with Dan Tri reporter .

Two-time Full Aqua Warriors Relay Champion

Hello Le Thi Trang, congratulations on winning the Full Aqua Warriors Relay in a tournament that is considered as tough as Aqua Warriors Halong Bay 2025. How do you feel now after the victory?

- When I stepped up to the podium to receive the award, the feeling was really hard to describe. I felt happy and joyful, mixed with a sense of pride because my efforts had paid off. Aqua Warriors is a really tough tournament, so winning the Full Aqua Warriors Relay made me feel very grateful to my teammates and cherish every moment on the track.

In this competition, you are responsible for the swimming portion?

- Yes, because I was a former national swimming team athlete. I am also currently a swimming coach.

In the swimming competition, I played according to the strategy: keeping a steady pace, not pushing too hard too early, and accelerating strongly at the end. My result in the swimming competition was 54 minutes for 3km of open water swimming. I was satisfied with my performance that day. The biggest difficulty was probably the strong current and the high density of athletes participating in the competition.

To get through 3km in the crowd, I had my glasses kicked out of alignment, my legs grabbed, and I bumped into other people. I had to swim while avoiding the kicks of other athletes. It was a very interesting experience. Luckily, I was used to competing so I was always in control of the situation.

How about your teammate's performance in the running race?

- My teammate is Ngo Manh Cuong, everyone calls him Cuong Ngo. He is an extremely persistent amateur runner with a very high competitive spirit. He finished the 15km race in 1 hour 54 minutes. At Aqua Warriors, this is the second time I competed with Cuong and won.

We share the same goal of winning the race and have absolute confidence in each other's abilities, which is an important factor in a relay race.

To achieve the above results, what is your secret? Did you prepare very carefully before the tournament?

- I maintain a regular training routine, combining swimming, running and gym exercises to support endurance and physical strength. About a month before the tournament, my teammates and I started to focus on simulating the real test to get used to the feeling of competition. The most important thing is to maintain a positive spirit and proper nutrition.

How was your experience at the Aqua Warriors Halong Bay 2025 tournament? What left the biggest impression on you?

- I was surprised by the extremely exciting competition atmosphere and the sportsmanship of everyone, from professional athletes to amateurs. I highly appreciate the Organizing Committee, Dan Tri Newspaper , Bolt Event and the People's Police Sports Association for running the tournament professionally, meticulously, and always creating the best conditions for the athletes.

What impressed me most at the tournament was disabled athlete Pham Tuan Hung, who also competed in the Full Aqua Warrior Relay for men's pairs.

From a personal perspective, I really admire him. In a tough tournament like Aqua Warriors, where even healthy athletes have to try their best, Tuan Hung's presence and brave performance is something very special.

Not only can he swim, but he also swims in a competition with waves, time pressure and pressure from the eyes. But he remains steadfast, calm and determined. It is not just a sport, but a living symbol of overcoming oneself.

Personally, I think Tuan Hung doesn't need to win first place to be a winner. He has won in everyone's eyes and has won over the limits that were imposed on him.

He is one of the most inspiring highlights of this tournament. I believe that anyone who has witnessed Tuan Hung's performance will understand that sports are not only about physical strength, but also mental strength, resilience, and unshakable belief.

Not only a talented athlete but also a very beautiful girl. Can you reveal a few things about yourself?

- Thank you everyone for complimenting me on my beauty. But I prefer to be complimented on my abilities, on what I can do in work and in life.

I am currently in charge of management training and staff training at Dolphin Swim School. In addition to my main job, I still spend time providing free swimming training to amateur athletes.

I used to be a professional athlete so I understand the feeling of loneliness when training, especially for beginners. I want to share my experience to accompany and inspire them. Seeing them improve every day is a great joy. After just over 1 month of organizing, my free class has had more than 50 participants.

I am a strong, disciplined and positive person. I really like the motto: "As long as you don't give up, you always have a chance to win". That is also what I always remind myself on every stage of life and race.

What is Trang's next plan after the Aqua Warriors Halong Bay 2025 tournament?

- Aqua Warriors Halong Bay 2025 is one of the highest quality and most competitive tournaments today. I appreciate the investment of Dan Tri newspaper and Bolt Event in creating a real playground for amateur athletes.

I will definitely continue to attend the Aqua Warriors Van Don tournament next September, with the goal of continuing to stand on the highest podium in my forte Full Aqua Warriors Relay.

Le Thi Trang, born in 1992, was a member of the national swimming team. The achievements of the 33-year-old swimmer from Thanh Hoa include Thanh Hoa's only Gold Medal at the 2005 National Phu Dong Sports Festival; winning 3 Gold Medals (50m - 100m - 200m butterfly) at the 2006 National Youth Championship.

Le Thi Trang represented Vietnam in the 2007 Asian Indoor Swimming Championship. And in 2008, Le Thi Trang also won a gold medal at the National Sports Festival after training in China. She is currently a swimming coach at the Dolphin Swim School Club.
