(Fatherland) - In early April, the lim xet trees on Son Tra Peninsula (Da Nang) bloomed a brilliant yellow in a corner of the sky. The charming beauty of this flower along with the red-shanked douc langurs captivated visitors, making them unable to leave…
About 10km northeast of Da Nang city center, Son Tra peninsula (Tho Quang ward, Son Tra district) is an ideal destination for sightseeing and experience... for locals and tourists. For a long time, Son Tra peninsula has been considered the "precious gem" of the coastal city. It has an area of over 4,400 hectares, 13km long with a circumference of about 60km, and an average altitude of 350m.
In recent days, Son Tra peninsula has entered the "changing clothes" season, many forest trees are blooming, including many lim xet trees competing to bloom, shimmering beautifully under the golden sunlight...
Lim xet tree (also known as lim set, diep vang) is a tree species with a round canopy, distributed mainly in the Central and Southern regions. Lim xet on Son Tra peninsula often blooms brilliantly at the end of March and lasts until almost the end of April.
On sunny days, with clear blue skies, the lim xet flowers are golden yellow, proudly showing off their colors.
On Son Tra Peninsula, the lim xet tree is home to the rare red-shanked douc langur. The leaves and flowers of the lim xet tree are the favorite food of this primate.
The attractive color of the golden lim xet flowers along with the image of the red-shanked douc langur attracts many photographers, locals and tourists to come and see, take photos, and check-in...
...everyone chooses a good position to watch the flowers and wait for the red-shanked douc to appear on the tree to take beautiful photos.
The bright yellow flower patches on the mountainside always stimulate all eyes, including those of "photographers" who love Son Tra...
The ideal time to see and take pictures of the red-shanked douc langur with yellow flowers is usually early morning or cool afternoon. However, to take pictures of the red-shanked douc langur with yellow flowers depends on luck because the appearance of the red-shanked douc langur is often unpredictable.
Roy (left, an American tourist) is passionate about wildlife photography. During a trip to the coastal city of Da Nang, he and his family visited Son Tra Peninsula and were fascinated by the beauty of the yellow lim xet flowers and the red-shanked douc langur...
One afternoon in early April, Roy sat waiting for the red-shanked douc langur to climb a yellow flower tree to take a photo. He said that during his one-week stay in Da Nang city, he spent time every day coming here to take photos of the red-shanked douc langur...
On a lucky occasion, Roy captured a red-shanked douc langur on Son Tra peninsula.
