Responding to VTC News , Director of Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music Hoang Ngoc Long said that the reconciliation meeting between musician Luu Thien Huong and lecturer Minh Huyen took place on the morning of January 16.

The Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music has sent a detailed report to the leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST) about the content of the reconciliation meeting between the two lecturers on the same evening.

During the meeting, after presenting the incident, musician Luu Thien Huong and lecturer Vo Thi Minh Huyen both admitted their mistakes in the recent incident and apologized to the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music for letting the incident affect the image of the teaching staff, management board, and school leaders.

Mr. Long affirmed that the leadership of the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music had criticized and asked the two lecturers to seriously review and commit to not letting similar situations happen again.

Regarding lecturer Minh Huyen's action of throwing the phone in anger, the school board has taken disciplinary action and asked lecturer Minh Huyen to apologize to musician Luu Thien Huong immediately during the meeting.

Mr. Long said that the board of directors had received the above information and because this was a sensitive matter, he could not say anything more. However, the Conservatory quickly organized a meeting with the participation of relevant parties.

During the meeting, the Council found that lecturer Minh Huyen, in a fit of anger, could not control her behavior, and had an attitude and actions that were not up to the standards of a lecturer. The Council unanimously decided to impose a disciplinary reprimand on lecturer Minh Huyen, and requested her to apologize to lecturer Luu Thien Huong at the upcoming conciliation meeting of the Conservatory of Music, and handle the matter in accordance with the provisions of the Code of Conduct of the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music.

On the side of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Associate Professor Dr. Le Anh Tuan - Director of the Department of Training said that he had requested relevant units to strictly handle the case related to Luu Thien Huong and Meritorious Artist Minh Huyen after receiving a report from the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requires the Conservatory to act seriously so as not to affect the image of the educational institution, especially the image and reputation of the school's lecturers.
